Yes, ma'am. Whatever you say, ma'am. New low this morning - 144.2.
I really don't understand why my body holds on to weight some days and drops it others. But I'm not complaining about the drops.

Maybe because that's when they finally had time to sit down and cook!

Or split it - 1/2 now and 1/2 later?

It's been cold here. I was wearing my wool coat yesterday. And gloves. Today is supposed to be even colder, although with no rain, and hopefully less wind, so it should be more pleasant, at least. Definitely crisp! Probably frost tonight.

I've had to do that in the past. This year my Farmer took a break for supper.
Oy! A few years ago, when Translator Son was doing night shifts in the control room of a security company, a lovely young lady took him a turkey dinner in the wee small hours of the night because she felt so sorry for him missing the festivities with his family. And that's when he realized that she was more than just a friend. The rest, as they say, is history.
I got inspired by Body by Science - not that I intend for a single moment to sign up at a gym - and did my resistance band routine in very slow motion, holding each extension as long as I could. Oh. My. Goodness. What a difference. It took four times as long and turned into a challenge. I could feel almost all my muscles tingling afterwards. No pain this morning.
I see a couple of major advantages for me. Because I am doing the movements so slowly, there is no danger of aggravating my tendonitis. (Mangled shoulders from consistently believing I was stronger than I was. I've been reluctant to do Mark's routine, because pushups tend to cause pain for me.) And because I am pulling the bands to the furthest extent of my strength, the routine will automatically adjust itself as I get into better shape, so I don't think I will have to increase reps at all. I was on such a high from the routine, the temptation will be to do it too often, but I know it's important to allow recovery time. But I am so eager to solidify all the jiggly bits...

More and more, our life has been governed by specialists, who know too little of what lies outside their province to be able to know enough about what takes place within it.
