That sounds like more than bone broth! Lots of good stuff in there. So bone broth is supposed to be an energy booster? Nice to know, I just made a batch last week. Threw my collection of bones in the crockpot for well over a day. It's been too hot to eat soup or drink broth though, so it's in containers in the fridge. I did drink a little of it.

I think the body image thing must be harder if we lose the weight very quickly, as well as being harder on our bodies. I'm sure you'll adjust better this time.

Ecks, unfortunately, the initial weight was done on a different scale. I know I've still lost about 10 pounds since I went primal, because it's all on the same scale, but it probably isn't 68 altogether after all. Oh well, at least it's still a lot. For now, it doesn't change anything really, except inaccuracies annoy the perfectionist in me, but I might decide to buy a better one when I'm closer to my goal. We'll see.

Things are quiet around here again. I'm not anywhere near as tired as I expected to be, but I was pretty careful about pacing myself over the weekend. The house is a shambles, but I will be able to chip away at it without anyone else messing it up behind me, which will be nice. There are advantages to being alone.

I went for a walk today: not a long one, but a good 30 minutes, so that's taken care of.

Unfortunately, that bag of peppermint patties has been taken care of too, mostly by me. *sigh* Oh well, back on track we go. There is no way I am going to weigh myself for a few days though. I don't want to know.

Never can quite figure if it's easier to weigh or not to weigh! Thinking of holding off until October 1st.

Good you're having some alone time to take it easy. That's soooooooooooooo important!

I am inconsistent. Sometimes it works better for me to weigh daily, sometimes it doesn't. Fortunately I answer only to myself, so I can go with whatever works better at the time.

I wish I could get away from the need to weigh myself daily. I tried for a long time to do a weekly weigh-in. But that doesn't seem to be working for me. I will step on those darn scales every single day! well, I usually do skip the weekends since my schedule is completely different. The scales are in the downstairs bath since the master bath has carpet, and my son was using it when he was taking off so much weight. So I have to go downstairs in my robe - then go back upstairs and get dressed. I used to have it upstairs on a board, I might do that again. I would like to buy a different scale since this one doesn't always give an accurate measure. I can step on and off 4 times and get 4 different numbers. THAT makes me crazy! I want to know what I weigh EXACTLY! I don't care about the 10th's and would rather they not be there - just round it up or down to nearest pound. Maybe I'll shop for a new one. My son can take this one when he leaves.

I try not to weigh myself daily, but I fail. I justify this by knowing that my weight fluctuates daily with hydration, and various other things. Muscle swelling and soreness after working out, water retention after eating salty food, dehydration after sweating profusely. It's really a moving target. But the trend is lower, and that is really the point.

I should probably do a 5 day moving average like they do in stock (equities) analysis, as it would flatten the bumps and give a more reasonable sense of the trend.

Maybe, just maybe, I am over thinking this...
    Height: 5' 10"
    Starting Weight: 292
    Starting Primal Weight: 275
    Current weight: 230.5
    Goal weight: 172
    Body Fat 30.5

Thinking gets me in trouble every time : )

I have a Friday weigh in day. I end up stepping on the scale almost daily but don't let it effect me because I know that nothing counts until Friday. I have no idea why this works for my brain but it does : )

DCarr, I actually had a table going on at one point with no less than 3 moving averages... THAT's overthinking. I took the 10-day average most seriously.

I couldn't resist and weighed myself yesterday. Yikes! Today was much better.

Tomi, well, I did walk to do some errands. And back. I did start my errands by resting a while at the coffee shop. And was really irritated when I found out they presweetened my iced coffee. Grrr.

So now I am tired, yes, and am going to rest until I no longer am. After checking out the journals here, LOL!
