Nothing wrong with a chocolate comfort day - as long as every day isn't a chocolate comfort day!

I'm usually "spotty" of the forum during the summer. (I try to post on mine, but I don't always make it to - or post on - all the others I follow)

I do this with frozen raspberries and whipping cream, but no stevia - it IS delicious!!

Just on for a quick browse. Love your new avatar. Ok. This summer is way too hot, and I live in the northwest of the U.S. Thank goodness for air conditioners! Hoping to use the ocean next summer!

Just checking on you.......... hope you're still with us! I totally understand the need to take a breather and not be so focused on food and such. But - just know that you're missed.

Hi everyone. I've been through some intense family time (nothing bad, just lots going on) and have been feeling a little draggy too. I'm behind in absolutely everything.

There isn't a heck of a lot to report. I've been staying relatively primal in my eating, but both dairy and fruits have been playing too big a role, I think. I've got to get back to concentrating more on veggies and proteins. I've also been very sore in my shoulders and upper back. I'm hoping that the arthritis hasn't moved in there, but it might have. And I haven't been anywhere near careful enough about how I pick up my grandchildren, which might have a lot to do with it. It's no fun waking up sore.

Sorry for being on a bit of a downer here. On the bright side, my weight continues to come off, very slowly, but at least it's not going up. Clothes shopping is becoming downright fun, which causes problems of its own. I'm not used to dealing with that one, LOL! Found a linen-cotton jacket, fully lined, for $9 yesterday. Brand new. Got to love those end of season mark-downs.

Glad to hear you're okay - sometimes life gets too full and we need to put certain things on the back burner for a time. You're taking care of yourself and thats what counts.

Trying to, Tomi. I have been making family a priority (well, it's always a priority, but it was more or less THE priority) which was fine, but now I have to concentrate on myself a bit.
