Ah, that's part of the journey. I can't say I was surprised. You can sort of feel it when you've lost real weight.

Don't lose heart. It won't be long till you're at the 50% point, and that feels really fantastic.

I cannot wait for 150! Not having a scale sometimes is a pain, but I think for these little fluctuations it makes dealing with them easier since I don't even notice them.

The little fluctuations can drive you crazy, that's for sure, especially when there's no rhyme or reason to them. But I've been at this for almost three years now, so I don't stress out too much about it. But a new low is a new low, and I will allow that to make me happy. And then I do my best to make sure that any upward bounce does not go too high nor last too long.

I've just been eating less, basically. I had too much to deal with in terms of fatigue and activity to be willing to cut back for a while, but now I want to lose more than I want to eat. I don't know how long that will last, but I'll ride it for a few days or a couple of weeks (three max) before going back to maintenance.

And welcome to my journal, ladies.

I was at the playground last week, clambering around play structures with my grandsons. Hey, do you think I am going to let a two-year-old climb up a bunch of monkey bars to a slide that starts 8 feet above the ground without an adult right behind him? I'm just being a good grandmother, I wasn't looking for an excuse to play at all...

Anyway, at one point I did make an attempt to do a pullup. No go. Couldn't budge myself at all. Not that I was surprised. Actually, I was pretty pleased to discover I could hang from the bar and swing back and forth without falling off. I've bought some resistance bands now, and I'm going to see if I can find a way to use them that won't strain my mangled shoulders. I would like to build some upper body strength without aggravating the tendonitis that has plagued me for years. Wish me luck.

And thank goodness for the grandkids. I rather doubt I would ever get to the beach or be hanging off of bars or climbing up ropes if it weren't for them. So much easier to play in public when you're with small children.

Did the coconut cream with frozen strawberries tonight. Not bad... could use a bit more of something. Not sure what. Maybe honey or another fruit, like pineapple or something. I made the whole can of cream, so I put the rest of it in the freezer for another day. Thanks for the suggestion.

Glad to hear you liked it. You could try adding stevia for extra sweetness without the blood sugar hit. Cinnamon might be nice too. A splash of vanilla might also add something.

I thought about cinnamon and vanilla. I have plenty leftover (in the freezer) so I can try it again.

Oh yeah, we play around with these things till we find the combinations we like the best. Frozen watermelon chunks mixed with berries can be pretty nice too.

Quick easy meal at noon today: 1/2 avocado mashed with garlic powder, salt, and a dash of lime juice, stirred in a good dollop of cottage cheese and just as much hot salsa. Made me very happy.
