Well, my tummy got better and I got very hungry. Still have no idea what all that was about. Big day tomorrow. Car Salesman Son is moving out, and we have to go get Translator Son to help him with the heavy lifting. I will be staying with DIL to help out with three little boys. So I'm off to bed early. But not before reporting:

    Health journal June 4, 2012

    Sleep: 7 hours or less

    Weight: 153.4 Another new low.

    Food
    Vitamins: forgot
    Breakfast: nope, stomach upset
Lunch: Banana and a few bites of mango
Supper: Zwiebelkuchen and deluxe coleslaw with EVOO mayo
Snacks: 2 cookies, a few pork rinds.

    Exercise: nope

Activities: Small chores, hand dishes, cooking, 2 loads laundry, more cooking, finances

Comments: I really wasn't too thrilled with the taste of EVOO mayo. This after telling somebody here a few days ago that it was very good. Hmm. I thought I had made it before and liked it. My memory is playing tricks on me. But now I'm at a bit of a loss. What will I do for mayo? I don't need a lot, but how do you make a decent coleslaw without it? I never did like the sugary dressings, and they definitely aren't too primal.

I've got ribs with a dry rub on them in the crockpot. I've stuck them in the fridge for the night, and in the morning I'll turn them on low. I'll just have to make a salad or something come evening. Good for a busy day.

I've been consciously adding a bit of starch to my diet again on a daily basis, and it seems to be helping. My skin is feeling very smooth again (it hadn't gotten bad, but had lost the wow factor) and the weight is also coming off. This is totally counter-intuitive, but I won't exactly complain. It's not like it's a hardship or anything. Today was a banana and those little cookies (which I made smaller this time).

I know, right? I made them with butter instead of shortening, and cut down a touch on the sugar - but STILL! all that flour and sugar did a number on my fibro pain. Stupid choices!!! Hence the whole30! Time to get back to basics here!

I hear Fibro can be very painful - just don't do it (easier said than done I know)

Hubby and I put them on the grill in foil with butter and salt and pepper for about 3 hours real low temp OMG. Lip smakin, lol. And no flour or sugar we use a sugar free bbq sauce for dipping nummmmmmy. Or no sauce at all. depends on the veggies

I just coated them with a spicy dry rub and put them in the slow cooker. No sugar, no flour, just spices. They are very good.

We don't have a BBQ right now, so I have find other ways of doing it.

Tomi, if you were referring to the cookies, there was no flour or sugar in them either. Almond meal and butter and a modest amount of maple syrup.

The move didn't go at all. It's a complicated story: a house that didn't get built on time, so someone not moving out on time, my son discovering that his friend who owns the house is moving out and using it just as a rental, and maybe a few other things. Haven't heard the whole story yet. He ended up moving his stuff back home and is now at work. I'll find out the details later, I guess, if he isn't too mad to tell me about it. Anyway, I got to see my grandsons for a while, which was fun, without having the sole responsibility for them, which is also okay. I'm kind of tired though, being short on sleep the last couple of nights.

We buy a good whole egg mayo - S & M? - it is a US one. My parnter uses ti for his home made taratre sauce which he loves. I have a tiny bit ccasionally but not real fond of it. I think you'd be OK if you check ingredients carefully .

Gosh I was just about to post a "gee I'm jealous of your empty nest" comment - and then read further to see that DS did not move out after all! DANG! I had that same thing happen to me once - with the house not getting finished so the apt wasn't available. Had to spend another month with my sister - she wasn't very happy about that.

I'm on the edge of my chair waiting for my son to say he's ready to find an apartment! Makes me feel like a bad mom - but honestly, I think it would be worse if I wanting him to stay - cuz his is 26! Time for some responsibility! Hope things work out for a move soon. For both our sons!

OH PLEASE SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!!! I'm so done with having kids in the house! I love our kids - but the time has come for them to fly to coop! Honestly I doubt step daughters will ever live with us again. Oldest step daughter is mad cuz we change things without asking for her permission or input. Youngest step daughter just hates the drama and is loving living on her own. Now to get only son out of the house and we'll be empty nesting!!! yahooo!
