    Flushing after eating

    Primal Fuel
for the past week I have been IF-ing and my first meal is lunch. I have noticed that within 30minutes of eating my face feels flushed, it doesn't matter what I eat I get the same sensation, almost like when you drink a glass of wine on an empty stomach...anyone else get this?

it varies - today was cottage cheese with eggs, yesterday was smoked salmon with eggs, sunday was sausages. So I cannot see that it is something I am eating per se

That happened to me. For me it was not so much a face flush as a bodily one, like hot flashes. It happens a lot less now but happened a lot at first. I finally decided that it was simply my body responding with happiness at getting nutrition it had been deprived of for a long time. Foods that seemed to do it:
    - pastured eggs
    - sweet potatoes
    - liver
    - fat, especially from the pork
    - iodine supplements

Perhaps vitamin A was finally coming in.

maybe it was thermogenesis? Your body kicking into fat burning as you nommed your food.

I get this too!! I have been dissecting my diet to see if there is a pattern and I can't find one. Other than the fact that I generally use butter on my meals (Kerrygold) and I can't imagine that I have an allergy to butter. I get super flushed and my skin on my face along my jaw line even feels itchy at times. It pretty much only happens after breaking the fast and it goes away later. But it ruins the pretty glow that has emerged on my face and makes me look like I drank a bottle of wine!!

I hope someone out there actually knows what this might really be..
