Post Gloop: Fast Meal In A Bowl

My wife and I use our VitaMix, a lot! Here's how Gloop goes:

    • 2.5 cups frozen mixed vegetables, cooked, drained (save the stock)
    • 2.5 cups stock from cooking, supplemented with organic chicken broth
    • 1 heaping teaspoon of sea salt
    • Mix this in the VitaMix to liquid (make more or less thick with stock/broth)
    • Fold in 2 cups ground venison and lean ground turkey (we mix about half and half)
    • Along with the meat, fold in a good quarter cup of sautéed yellow onions (chopped first)

This makes about 7.5 cups, or approximately 5-12 ounce servings. This is around 225 calories. Rich, satisfying and really hits the spot. Lots can be done with our VitaMix, we've found.

if there's no starch, and you're using lean ground meats... where's the energy going to come from?

    yeah you are

I mean there's so many ants in my eyes! And there are so many TVs, microwaves, radios... I think, I can't, I'm not 100% sure what we have here in stock.. I don't know because I can't see anything! Our prices, I hope, aren't too low!

frozen mixed vegetables come in several variations, the 'general' mix usually contains peas and/or carrots

i would avoid the one with straight green peas. but yeah, i would still not try and fuel myself on peas and carrots.

fat or starch - real fuel!
