    Really Fast Breakfast Recipes?

    Primal Fuel
Oh dear god, please help me. I just started a new typical 9-5 job (yea!) and I am otherwise pretty nocturnal (I know it's very non-Primal but now I'm forced to change so w/e), and it's been nigh impossible for me to be motivated enough to make myself breakfast in the morning. I have been thrown off track this week (first week on the job) because of this (and being crazy exhausted from the abrupt, drastic schedule change) and I need to get back on track!

So, please, if you have super fast ideas for breakfast, share them with me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. By fast, I mean preparation would ideally take 10 minutes, max. Or, stuff to prepare ahead of time. Thanks!

I guess I should add that this doesn't necessarily need to be standard breakfast fare; anything fast would be good.

Through the week, I rarely eat anything before lunchtime, around noon. For me, it's just a couple of tablespoons of full fat probiotic yoghurt and a handful of blueberries. Do you want to eat? You don't have to if you're not hungry.

you could IF, eat leftovers, or cook eggs. Those are all the fastest options. If you plan ahead, you'll be fine. Hard boil eggs the night before, toast up some coconut flakes to serve with cream for a "Primal Special K", etc.

Leftovers are definitely a quick and easy option, or I like to toast some coconut chips and almond flakes (10 mins) and have with yogurt and berries, I also like veg rosti type things (grated veg of your choice cooked in butter/coconut oil, add an egg if you like), this might take up to 15 mins, you can make french toast (from non grain breads like nut butter bread) quickly, bacon and eggs in all sorts of combinations. I tend to have my cooked breakfasts bubbling/cooking/toasting away while I'm making the kids lunches... you might be in the shower or getting dressed, you might even practice a bit on the weekends. In the end you have to decide if you willing to put aside a few minutes to eat a healthy breakfast or not? Your decision really.

I tend to either boil eggs the evening before and eat once I get to my desk or I throw my kefir, yoghurt, some coconut milk and oil and a handful of frozen berries into a liquidiser and drink this on my drive in.

Leftovers are a great idea if you're not into IF.

If you don't mind eating them cold, try baking a few sweet potatoes the night before, then slathering them with butter and cinnamon the next morning (or you could nuke them). I start most days at 4am, so that plus a vanilla protein shake, or a few HB eggs is a great way to get going quick.

I also highly recommend making some variation of baked frittata - Bacon Wrapped Eggs - YouTube

If you're not bothered about nuts (I know some on here are) then you could make a grain free breakfast 'cereal' in the weekend, and munch on it each morning for breakfast - super quick. I sometimes take it to work with me if I'm not hungry and eat this midmorning.

    1 Cup roughly chopped almonds
    1cup desicated coconut
    1 cup almond meal
3Tbs each coconut oil and honey
1/4 cup each sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds

Roast the whole lot in a hot oven, stiring every 3-4 minutes until totally golden all the way through. Add a small handful of dried fruit if you like the added sweetness. Serve a small bowl full each morning with milk/cream/coconut milk.

I keep baked bacon in the fridge - perfect with a HB egg! Also I LOVE the berry/nut breakfast that is in the PB cookbook - I have a tiny cast iron skillet that is just the right size for 1-2 servings. Blueberries warmed with a little vanilla then topped with chopped walnuts/butter/cinnamon. Put it under the broiler for 3-5 minutes. Warm & Very filling.
