You have a compelling writing style even casually in your journal so I imagine your poetry would be stellar. Perhaps one of these days, talk to the local bookstore and see if they'd be interested in selling a few chapbooks of your work? It's a low pressure way to share your work - and test the waters for a more serious publication
If you have a few minutes- please take a look at my story, in my journal

I do warn you, I am a copious writer.

Heh heh, I do have some poems in a chapbook that is in the local shops. I would like to have my own, but I don't have enough material yet. Maybe next year by this time. I'd like to do a series - maybe 20 poems loosely related.

Succumbed to the siren song of the sugar (notice the alliteration?) and ate some chocolate covered caramels. No gluten though! I did check. Tummy seems all better.

Thinking a lot about my poetry lately, a consequence of the workshop of course. In a pretty short time I have gone from being terrified to admit that I write poems to feeling like my stuff is as good or better than a lot of others. Don't worry, my head is not too swelled - I read stuff all of the time that blows me away and makes me wonder if I will ever do anything 1/10 as good. But I do feel like this is something I should pursue as a hobby, something I am good at and can get to be even better.

Food has been good today. About 3:30 AM I had a turkey burger patty with onion and a few rice crackers. An apple and kombucha. Then I just ate the same again minus the apple and plus some roasted cauliflower.

    Now I'm off to swim.

Good for you, tomi! Let's make it the best 21 days ever!

    Day One

Food all good. For dinner I made Asian Cauliflower Fried Rice | Award-Winning Paleo Recipes | Nom Nom Paleo, very tasty. I realized I had all the ingredients on hand and in fact a few of them needed using up. Also had a glass of booch. (Do I even need to say I had booch?)

Had a very good swim, pool had a few people but definitely not crowded, hallelujah. There were two new lifeguards, very distracting as they are both extremely attractive young men. I feel like a bloody pedophile just glancing at them. They are, of course, adults and I don't know why I should feel guilty enjoying the view. In addition to swimming, I did some core exercises of my own devising and quite a bit of stretching. Long, luxurious shower.

A trip to the grocery yielded a large marked down package of pork chops. They are going in the slow cooker tonight.
