Just had a tapioca bread with half a banana and almond butter. Pretty carb-y for breakfast, but it was delicious. I have made another batch and resisted its siren song. I will eat these over the next week, not all at once. One or two will go to the opera with me, probably with the burger than is baking in the oven right now. I made them the same I did yesterday. Tasted the raw meat with the spices - I forgot how good raw beef is.

The opera was terrific but exhausting. I personally didn't care for the sets - very bleak and monochromatic. But the music was wonderful as always. Whew.

These spiced hamburger patties are my new favorite thing. I'm afraid I can't stop eating them. Is it because I haven't had a SAD hamburger in almost a year? Or because I have hit on a really good spice combo? The tapioca bread as a bun works GREAT. Too great. But I am eating most of the patties plain. I've eaten a lot today. All primal, but still a lot.

Oh, it is so true - bad rehearsal, good performance - and vice versa. Guess which I had today? Oh well. It's not like they throw you out of the church choir.

Cooked up some chicken breasts like I did on page 214 and they came out perfectly once again. Easy! Although I feel horrible for buying tortured CW chicken for $1.49 a lb.

The NewMan is all hot over my tattoo. Not sure how I feel about that. He asked me if I had any, and I said yes and lifted the back of my shirt a little bit. I have some stars and planets and things on my lower back. Yes, a tramp stamp. From our phone conversations, he has been hot ever since. I don't understand men. What is the big effing deal?

I look like a Smurf minus the blue hair - I didn't put on any hairspray this morning, ran out of the house late. When I came home I could not believe the quantity of hair sticking up all over my head! Half of my hair is about two inches long. I am not complaining, oh no, I am not complaining. Can you believe I have NEW HAIR!!!!!! This is the happiest thing ever. When I start to worry about something, I stop and think, "I Have NEW Hair!!!"

Isn't that new hair thing great?! Mine are coming in dark and the gray ones are falling out. I have noticeably less gray hair at 54 than I did at 52!
Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

The new hair is the ultimate great thing! Doing the impossible, that's what I like. Find me ONE CW diet or practice that will regrow hair!

I hope those tapioca breads come out nicely and that you like them as much as I do. Or maybe that is not a good thing to wish on someone!

I've heard Italians test children for lots of things, and somehow they manage to do it relatively inexpensively. Heart problems, for one. Their student athletes don't drop dead on the field nearly as often as ours do. Although this is just something I recall reading some time ago and I don't remember where, so I should research it before I throw it out there.

Do you ever worry that primal will just stop working for you? Once in a while I have a moment of panic that it is all too good to be true and I will once again be fat and sick and my hair will fall out and my skin will look like crap again. I know it is silly. Worrying about some crazy made up thing when I could be worrying about real stuff!
