I'm gonna order it! I need help in the sauces and spreads department!
I think you'll like it! Honestly, I'm going to start at the beginning and work my way through it. Once you have a few staples, like some vinegars and spices and herbs, the recipes are a snap. I already have most of the stuff - apple cider vinegar, the herbs, garlic, onion.
The coolest thing about reading through Mark's cookbook was realizing that I can make all this stuff and eat freely of it, and feel great and wear size 6 clothes! Usually when I look through a cookbook, basically I am torturing myself because I feel I am gaining weight just looking at it.
Well, I am paying for my little binge with an allergic reaction! My right eye and the side of my face are all swollen. Yikes. Don't know what it was, but it was something!
I forgot to mention that I came home from the grocery store today with a pile of trimmings from smoked salmon - for free! The butcher was throwing them away!!! He said people don't like the end bits because they are too fatty!!! Of course they are! They are full of omega 3s and they are delicious. I ate them all.
Free smoked salmon bits!?! Merry Christmas, indeed!
I still can't believe they were destined for the garbage!
Had a lovely hot dog omelet and a clementine. Now I'm off for some Christmas caroling and then to work.
