    VFF Bikilas or...?

So I'm training for my first marathon, with 2 half marathons coming up this summer. I've been in Vibram Komodos since late September and I never want to go back to lace up shoes. I've scorched off the tread on the ball of the foot of them and I'm thinking I should probably get a new pair to train & race in soon. I tried on the new SeeYa's but they seemed really cheap. I wasn't impressed. What other pairs would you recommend for racing? I've heard good things about Bikilas, but wanted some personal experiences. I'm not interested in pace gloves or anything like that, just V's. Open to hearing about all VFF styles in regards to running.
    Thanks!

+1 for the KSOs! It amazes me the amount of road grime that would have been on the top of my feet.

girlfriend has classics, sprints, bikilas, and komodo sport ls
I have classic, classic smartwool, flow, and komodo sport ls

We both wholeheartedly recommend komodo sport ls over everything else by a mile. Just our 4 cents.

see my gleeful thread on Bikila and Komodos lasting well. I have them both as laces, but that's to accommodate my tremendous flippers. I'd totally trust either pair to see me through some half marathons and a full one. Plus, I'd be hard pressed to spot any comfort differences between the two; it's all visual (with the Komodos looking substantially cooler, but I don't blame my Bikilas for being born grey!). Good luck.

I love my Bikilas! I'm torn between buying another pair, or picking of a pair of Speeds.

my wife and i have been wearing vibrams forever, and have tried just about every style. if you are using them specifically for running, then i recommend the bikilas. they are designed for road running, plain and simple. my wife recently got a new pair of Bikila LS. she loves them. she had been wearing komodos recently, but for her road specific running (training for a half marathon) the bikilas are the ones.

Yeah, I've been training & racing in my komodos since I got them in Sept. The ball of the Vibram is scorched (see picture below). I did that in less than 6 mos. I showed the people at the running store and got a big pat on the back "GOOD JOB!!"
