Oh and it's labeled "starch-free", thus promoting the idea that starch is a thing to be avoided, or that Paleo-whatshisface didn't eat it.

Reminds me of the customers I've been getting lately who are "eating paleo", ordering plates of sausage, eggs, and bacon cooked in canola/soybean oil, and NO POTATOES OHNOES. Idiots.

Fucking Atkins. Get out of my paleo and take Cordain's stupid fat face with you.

You're taking in twice as many calories versus normal wheat bread and more oxidized omega 6 than you'd eat in weeks. That's just what I want to put into my body - rancid fat and incomplete proteins in the shape of bread.

Seriously, this is the "paleo" answer to the vegan's "fake meat". I'll say it again - there is no such thing as "paleo bread". I will eat sourdough wheat bread long before I touch that nasty abomination.
I actually found some bread recipes (made with almonds, flax) that you have baked on your primal recipes thread??????

Why the heck would I crave bread when there exists things like steak, eggs, smoked salmon, avocado, parsnip chips, dark chocolate.... nom nom nom...

Yeah, I brought this up in a different thread about the nut flour bashing (and "meal" isn't any different than flour other than particle size). I was accused of having poor reading comprehension. I am glad someone else stumbled upon this and suffered the same delusions!!!!

Taco's food porn thread has been around for a while; long enough that he was probably eating nut flour crap before the word got out that starch was ok and piles of rancid fat were not.

Although I'm skeptical of how much nut flour is really denatured. Doesn't roasting reduce the phytic acid content? And does this mean I'm eating rancid fats every time I make pesto?

I was never looking for this, and will not consume it.

Sounds like a terrible idea to me. Life without bread is no hardship.

I'm gonna side with those saying "so what?". Bread, even "gluten free" bread, is still not the most optimal thing you could be eating. It may be slightly better than regular bread, but that's not a reason to eat it.

I known I should know better but can you explain to me why you all seem to be mad at Dr's Atkins and Cordain? I keep seeing these references and dont get it.

As for bread, is there any value in things like flour made from bull rushes or soaked ground acorns? I have used it before and it was tasty as a pancake or flat bread.

I say just give up on the concept of bread. Just stop considering it food. It's over. That's it.

I think it's because food is like religion~ some follow the message, some follow the messenger. If you're following the messenger, only one can be right
