Boo you Prowler, I thought you were hardcore :P

I love liver and hearts and even bellybuttons! (chicken ones, yes they have them)

You should also try cow tongue! Yum!

I've had tongue before... it is pretty good.

I would try brains right now, if I could find some.

It reminds me of something my Chinese co-workers told me once... that it was considered a delicacy and a privilege to scalp a live monkey and eat its brains while it was still alive!

Now, what do you think of eating brains, Prowler? :P

@NoSalad - you know, I once read in a Terry Pratchet book that all "local delicacies" existed to horrify and disgust tourists. Then when the tourists go away the locals go back to eating normal food

I don't know how you could get into the monkey's skull without some extreme reaction and pain. Not that pain ever stopped some of the Asian food practices.

They showed the monkey brain thing being done in one of the hard to watch shock value movies, "Faces of Death", back in the eighties. They put the monkey into a special table where it's body was below the table and it's head held in place in a vice. The diners themselves cracked the skull open. It seemed pretty damned cruel to me at the time and I was sufficiently shocked enough to still vaguely remember it despite the passage of time.

I think that monkey brain thing is an unnecessary cruelty towards the animal. You can get brain without all the inflicting pain. That's not nutrition anymore, it's human pathology (talking about the customers)
