Just a quick note - completed the allergy testing. Had an allergic response to about 90% of the test items. Too many to include all of them in the immunotherapy so the mix will be optimized for the worst offenders. Seems that means that cat and dog allergies are not to be included - and they aren't too bad anyway according to the test result. Once my overall allergy status improves mild allergies may also resolve on their own. The good news is that allergens that used to be a major issue for me - like dust mites - seem to be no longer an issue. I had ZERO allergic reaction to the dust mite extract. So, that indicates that the previous course of immunotherapy that I had 20-25 years ago did help long term. Hopeful for this new course to be even more effective.

Once again, the primal diet and iodine therapy seem to be helping with the allergy symptoms. And, the next step is to be tested for food allergies so that I can tweak the primal diet that way as well.

Good news. I discovered a new Fit Trail in my town. Its a mile and a half walk/jog trail with 20 stations. Each station features a different body weight exercise like pull-ups. If a person does the whole circuit they will have a complete workout - cardio, strength, flexibility/mobility. All for free.

Other good news, I'm doing well on 50 mgs Iodoral after several days at that dose. Had minimal effects the first two days, mostly a little bladder irritation. Now, all is normal again.

Started the immunotherapy shots yesterday. Mold count is really high here right now - I have several mold allergies - and I had a small reaction to the first shot, a few hours later. I got very stuffy and it was worse at night. So, we'll see how things go over time.....

Update on the 50 mg Iodoral dose. Now on that dose daily for over a month. Still no problems with side effects or detox symptoms, although I do feel that I am still detoxing just not not having any problems. NO sign of the stomach upset some people seem to have at 50 mgs. Maybe the key for me was the slow titration up to that dose not starting at that dose.

Weight loss has stalled out since my move due to getting less exercise, but still sticking close to the Primal diet and benefiting in other ways. A friend gifted me with the book on the GAPS diet and that information seems to answer many of my questions about what happened 25 years ago with I developed severe allergies and GI issues for the first time as an adult - and what's been helping and not helping since then. Explains why the Primal diet helps like it does. The GAPS diet is close to the Primal diet, sorta like the Primal diet tweaked for certain issues, IMO. So, I am exploring tweaking my diet further.

The good news is that my most recent test came back showing NO food allergies. So, hopefully adopting the GAPS diet and further healing my gut may help with the few food sensitivities and GI issues that I seem to have these days, as well as reducing histaminic reactions overall. In combination with the inhalant immunotherapy I seem to be be heading toward much better health these days. Now, I just need to resume exercise and the weight loss.

The heat and a lingering injury that I suffered during the move are slowing me down re exercise, but I am still walking some and slowly resuming other exercise. Hope to be 100% this fall.

WOW! Life has been like a roller coaster this year. Lots of changes. The latest news is that I am now caring for my son's dog whille he is away across country at school for a year - and the dog has just been diagnosed by our vet with mast cell cancer. Sad. Then, my husband suddenly changed his retirement plans and is now retired - rather than waiting another five years to retire. I really wanted him to retire sooner rather than later, but it had to be his decision. We are both VERY HAPPY about being fully retired together now! Just getting used to all the changes - and working to heal the injury I had during the move. Plus, we are now talking about moving to the inland North West - not Michigan - in the future so more changes there. But, its all good. Not the dog dying of course, but if he has to live with cancer living with us is a great place to be. We can provide for all his needs and he loves us - and the feeling is mutual. So, life goes on......
