well I hope they turn out good........... too late to change my mind! They are very marbled and bone-in so I think they should come out good. I'm in need of broth for the dog also - he's a picky picky eater and adding broth to his dry food always gets him to eat!

    As per Marcadav:
    Do 30-60 days clean primal.
    No grains, sugar, alcohol.
Eat 3 meals and primal snacks.
    Don't track food.
    Don't tweak.
Don't expect issues to go away quickly. Instead, just follow the plan and see how things play out.
Decide on an exercise plan you can/will do consistently during the 30-60 days and then do it.

I'm entirely jealous of you going on a mini-vacation and staying the same weight... I stayed at home this weekend and gained a pound... I am not doing well with staying primal at all. I'm not venturing too far into the grains world, but I'm slipping a lot. It scares me. But you did well. I'm proud of you!

I hope the steaks turn out well. We're having whole bone-in/skin-on chicken breasts in the slow cooker tonight. I popped about 8 broth ice cubes in there to keep things moist and for making a gravy. Will make some mashed taters and gravy. And some peas for the kids. Kids love peas - oh well... they're green and they eat them. DH and I will probably have sugar snap peas for the healthy pod - kids just pick the peas out of the pod so why bother with the pods for them?? lol I'm excited for dinner tonight.

I was shocked that I didn't gain any weight - cuz I didn't stay primal. I had several desserts - and a few glasses of hard liquor - as in Long Island Iced Tea! my favorite! But our meals were pretty primal and pretty small. Plus we walked A LOT! those casinos are enormous! It took a good 15 minutes to go from the conference to the room. and made we several trips a day - plus walking around the casino - and one day we took a short walk outside just to see how big the place was. Its HUGE! Add walking in and out and around all the airports too. We definitely didn't sit down much.

How fun to be able to see the shows. I'm glad the one worked out for you. That's what I'd like to do, if I ever go to Las Vegas. They have them all around the clock, right? So you can go during the day?

the vega shows are pretty much the normal matinea and then maybe 2 evening shows. We hit the 7:00 pm show - then watched the volcano erupt in front of the Mirage. We were going to go to this "bar" at the Wynn to see some amazing things there but were completely overloaded by the Beatles - LOVE show. So we caught the shuttle back to the hotel.

Not sure whats going on with my body......... I think I must have gotten sorta dehydrated out there in the desert cuz I've been sucking down water like I'm dying or something. Yesterday I must have drank 6 16 ounces glasses of water! and I put too much salt on my dinner so now I'm so bloated I feel like I'm a water balloon! The scales were up too! what the heck!!! that wonderful low of 181.6 was nice for a whole 2 days and then disappeared. I've been hovering around 185 for a week. I really thing its water weight - but I'll have to wait and see. If it is it should go away in a couple days as long as I don't touch the salt shaker.

Yesterday it was so cold and rainy I decided to do Yoga instead of go outside for a walk. It was good. I have a DVD and just followed along. But today my shoulders hurt cuz they cramped up during the yoga yesterday. I was also having issues with my feet cramping during the yoga. I take extra potassium but it doesn't seem to help with the cramping issues. Not sure what to do for that. Anyway - I'm going to do the yoga again today. Its real windy and blustery out there ...... yuck.

This friday is double whammy on taking care of the moms. MIL has an eye doctor appointment at 9:20 - so I have to drive to get her - 30 minutes away - bring her back to Salem for the appt. another 30 minutes........ then take her home......... 30 minutes - go get my mom and do all her shopping - then drive me back home - 30 minutes. 2 hours of driving for one appointment. UGH. I don't know why she doesn't see an eye doctor in Dallas. (oregon - yes, we have one ) But she's gone to this doctor for years and hasn't even considered changing. Anyway - I want to get my hair cut too so need to call BIL to see if he has an opening on Friday - probably not but will check. If not I'll schedule for 2 weeks out. ............... Just called - nothing Friday afternoon so I made an appointment for the 9th. That works. I get my hair cut about every 6 months! This time will just get the ends cleaned up cuz I want to let it grow out.

better get to my yoga........... Have a good day all. and lets all hope for smaller numbers for tomorrow!

Try taking some magnesium. Sodium, potassium and magnesium are a trio and if one gets off, the others will too. Whenever I had calf cramps a few years ago, magnesium was the only thing that made them go away.

Feels better. I think I've got a mild planter fasciitis. It started hurting Friday at the clinic, so probably a combination of being on my feet more days than usual and the shoes I wore that day. . Thanks for asking.
