Hi Tomi! I ate out once this weekend too, and decided not to get the house dressing when I found out it had canola oil in it. Asked them for simple EVOO and vinegar; that way I could be sure they wouldn't mess it up.
They make a really great steak, but their veggies are really uninspiring and downright cheap for the prices they charge, so we aren't going back.
By the way, the MDA recipe for Green Goddess dressing looks fantastic; you should try it.
That looks like a pretty good list of veggies to me; you've got a lot of the best in there. I'll see what I can come up with. Do you eat tomatoes? Oh, and Mark dithered about green beans for a while and then declared them primal. Apparently the bad things are negligible while the seeds are still green and small. So there you are. Good thing. I have some fresh ones from FIL's garden...
For squash, I like cooking garlic and an apple in butter until the apple has reduced to sauce (so peeled, of course) and then adding roasted orange squash, like acorn or pumpkin or whatever. The combination is to die for, and it's what got me started eating squash, which I had never been fond of before. If your squash isn't too difficult to cube raw, you can cook it in the pot with the garlic and use apple juice for the liquid, as a variation on the same theme. I know that's not a salad, but it's totally scrumptious, and is my favourite substitute for mashed potatoes now.

More and more, our life has been governed by specialists, who know too little of what lies outside their province to be able to know enough about what takes place within it.
