How pretty! is there a tarp or something that goes over it for when it's rainy out??? it looks like it was rainy out before the pic - or did you do like they do on the home improvement shows and wet everything down before you took the pics?

I wanted to mention to you that the situation with MIL has gotten a bit more convoluted... she's now making a THC inhaler that she uses in the public when things get rough... which means she travels in her automobile with me and my kids while having an illegal substance in her purse. I. AM. NOT. HAPPY. ABOUT. THIS. Fuming mad, actually. She's willing to do an hour's worth of useless stretching but won't change her diet to see if that helps... UGH she really ticks me off. I've decided I'm just going to get her the book "It Starts with Food" and leave it at that. She can read it or not. She can absorb it or not. She can stay in pain or not. I don't care.

Now I struggle with how to approach the no-inhaler-in-the-car-with-my-kids subject... The rest of the family jokes around about it like it's funny. I don't find it funny. I almost want to provide the cops with an anonymous tip, but it won't do any good b/c it's just personal use so they won't care...

Sorry for the threadjack... I guess I'm half hoping she stalks your thread and will see this...

EEEEEESH - Jenn! Thats not good. Why would think its okay to have her pot out in public - and around the kids? Good luck - I hope you can find a way to approach the subject without causing a rift.

As for the pergola....... we aren't going to put a solid/permanent roof on it. We're going to try to get ahold of a bunch of used sails from a sailboat place in Portland. We're hoping we can get some for very little money. I will no doubt have to do some sewing to make them fit just right. They can be put up really quick and easy with just some simple hooks and rings. I'm not sure how much rain they keep out - but they will make for some nice shade on sunny afternoons!

okay................ so I did pretty good over the weekend. I did have a few handfuls of m&ms, and a couple drinks to ease the pain of the hard work! But food-wise was good. I'm still not seeing any weight loss - and I'm thinking I will need to have the Armour increased a bit, which should help. This morning was 190 again. ???? UGH!

Now - I gotta go to work.............. blah!

    As per Marcadav:
    Do 30-60 days clean primal.
    No grains, sugar, alcohol.
Eat 3 meals and primal snacks.
    Don't track food.
    Don't tweak.
Don't expect issues to go away quickly. Instead, just follow the plan and see how things play out.
Decide on an exercise plan you can/will do consistently during the 30-60 days and then do it.

Oh, sails would be nice! And yes, shade is probably more what I was thinking rather than rain protection. Sails would look pretty up there.

weird............... everything I just typed disappeared!

So, I was saying.............. my son is getting pre-qualified to buy his first place. He's cleaned out his room of everything that needs to be sold or donated to charity. Not much is left in there! AND he's looking into going back to school to get his degree in Engineering. He wants to make more money than what a career in drafting is offering him. Good for him. Its so good to see him moving forward with his life.

I'm feeling sorta down in the dumps. No motivation, no energy, no interest. I sure need to clean house and I don't want to do it! The grass needs mowed too. Blah! Maybe we just worked so dang hard all weekend that I'm totally worn out! I think thats it - I just need to rest. So the dirty floors will have to wait.

Something has me totally bloated today too........... I'm up 4 stinking pounds! Good grief!

Yeah, I jumped up for a couple of days too. Not too sure what was causing the bloating, but it all fell away just as fast. Hope it does for you too.

Important life rule: when you are tired, rest! Which means I am holding you accountable. You better come back on here and say you've been resting, or I am going to whoop your butt!

ROFL!!!! I've NEVER used that acronym before so I guess that tells you you made me laugh out loud with that one! Yes, I'm resting. In fact, I just went out to the pergola and took a nice little rest in the hanging chair that hubby hung after I took a picture. It was nice and peaceful - although not to warm! When hubby and I got married I had silk hydrangeas for center peices on all the tables. I took all the flowers and made a wreath that has been hanging over our bed for 10 years! I decided the wreath would be a good addition to the pergola, so now its hanging dead center between the 2 hanging chairs that we bought in Cozomel! I already know that pergola is going to be my favorite place to hang out!

I just made 3 eggs for breakfast - yummy. I'm hoping this bloat goes away quickly, like yours did! Lots of water, no salt or sweets or dairy!!! That should take care of it. I sure didn't like seeing that number on the scale this morning!!!! I was down to 186 a couple weeks ago...... yesterday 190 ..... today 194. Whats wrong with this picture? Jenn has me thinking about doing the whole30 again. Thats how I got down to the 186. Couldn't hurt. I should do some reading on it, but its pretty basic. 100% paleo. My birthday is the 25th........... I can do this for my birthday gift to myself.

Okay......... thats what I'll do. Starting today - whole30.

Tomi, add birthdays to the things we have in common. My daughters turn 22 on the 25th.

BTW, your yard is gorgeous. Feel free to come work in mine.
