Yes, its going well.......... I haven't made it to the store yet......... so, trying to keep my plan in tact for not buying junk food that will tempt me.

I pooped out before I got started on the masterbath. Moving that furniture was definitely my LIFTING HEAVY THINGS for today! I shuffled the armoire out from wall far enough for me and the ladder to fit behind, then once the painting was done I vacuumed up all the crud that has filtered into that space since the last time I painted (8 years ago??) then I completely dismantled the bed, and moved all the parts out of the way, painted the wall, vacuumed up that bunch of mess, washed all the bedding and put it all back together again! We have a memory foam mattress....... it has got to weight 100 pounds! And moving it is like trying to move a giant wet noodle! I took off the cover, washed it, then turned the mattress over and put the cover back on - so - it should feel like a brand new mattress again!

At the moment I'm washing the new curtains so when I hang them they won't have the packaging fold marks in them! I'm anxious to have it done!

Next big job......... cleaning carpets! UGH - thats a big job! I'll have to do that on a day when its going to be really hot! So I can open all the windows and let the heat dry it quickly.

Better get moving.......... still have to shower, go the banks, go shopping and get everything packed for the weekend..... and it 3:00! Oh dear.........

Have a good weekend everyone - I'll be out of internet range out on the lake. At least until I upgrade to a smart phone...... maybe this fall.

Sunday night --- had a great weekend!

I stayed on course! I ate only meat, eggs, veggies and fruit the entire weekend! there were 6 other people there - my sister and husband on their boat, and our friends with their 2 nearly grown boys on another boat. Everyone else was stuffing their faces all weekend with chips and dip, crackers, cookies, pop .............. junk junk junk! I said no thank you to CAKE BALLS - Oreo cookies, and lots of other things. But I compensated by having fruit and almonds ............. all healthy - but high calorie. I'm going to weigh in the morning and see what the damage is. I was 187 friday morning. I just stepped on the scales - at 10 pm, after eating all day and it said 191.......... so I'm a bit worried. But even if I did gain a pound - I did it with healthy stuff and not junk food.

I'm feeling good physically too - not having junk food or alcohol and I can tell! Energy and stamina are doing great!

Tomorrow starts another challenge........... I'm going to my friends for the week.......... She'll most definitely want to have some drinks. She understands I don't eat grains and am avoiding sugars right now. I need to stay strong and on course.

I'm at my friends........ having a great time.

breakfast: 2 crab cakes (left overs from the weekend on the boat)
Lunch: grapes and almonds on the road
Dinner: salad with about 2 oz of chicken, ranch dressing
    snack: more almonds

    I'm hungry.

I'm doing good. Turned down a glass of rum and coke

Going for a bit of walking tomorrow. Maybe see Magic Mike. Then I think dinner out?

    time for sleep............

Having a great week! Doing really good! I had a cocktail with dinner last night - but thats my only deviation! We went on a 4 mile walk/hike yesterday - that was GREAT!!! Today is my last day here - heading home in the morning...... and saying goodbye to my lifelong friend for a very long time........ maybe a year before we see each other again. But - we are trying to plan a meet up vacation - maybe in Bali over Christmas??? Watch out when these 2 girls start planning........... it could get us in trouble!

I'm feeling good, sleeping well and getting lots of sun and exercise while I'm here in the high desert of Oregon.

Hope everyone is having a good Independence Day!

Changed my avatar...... thats me. I like the picture of my dog better - but I guess this one will do. I take terrible pictures.

I had a wonderful week with my best friend of 38 years. She's leaving in 19 days for Korea. I don't know when I will see her again. She wants us to come visit in Korea - or try to meet her and her husband in Bali for Christmas...... but I don't think we can do that. But, we had fun!

I stayed on target except for a cocktail both nights with dinner! I consider that a huge success and a great step forward! Now I need to catch up with everyone's journals and see whats been happening!

Edit....... all caught up! I forgot to mention....... tomorrow I start my Tae Bow!!!! Its gonna be fun! I'm looking forward to it - but worried I will end so sore I won't be able to move all weekend! I need to remember to take it slow and easy.

Congratulations on your restraint, Tomi! I think we can file that under Sensible Indulgence. Not so my peppermint patties. At least they're almost all gone.

Time for a pergola-warming party! I'll bring the guac.

Psst, you changed your avatar but not your signature. As it stands, I'd say you have a great-looking dog! ROFL!
