okay --- I'm offering this up for accountability sake --- so please be gentle with your responses........ I have been eating WAY TOO MUCH ICE CREAM! Every single day for the past week. So -- now that I just ate the last of it, I'm not buying anymore. I will have to own up to it when hubby wants a bowl of ice cream and there isn't any for him to eat.

I've got to get back on track here. The ice cream is the only thing I've eaten that isn't primal in so long I can't even remember. And - honestly its nearly all good stuff ---- all but the sugar and corn syrup (cringe). The BAD part is the caloric load it adds to my day!

I need to find my resolve again - I need to get centered again - I need to focus again - and I need to get serious again!

As of right now --- I'm back on track.

    As per Marcadav:
    Do 30-60 days clean primal.
    No grains, sugar, alcohol.
Eat 3 meals and primal snacks.
    Don't track food.
    Don't tweak.
Don't expect issues to go away quickly. Instead, just follow the plan and see how things play out.
Decide on an exercise plan you can/will do consistently during the 30-60 days and then do it.

Jenn --- she's some young girl that was giving Leida a pretty hard time about what she posted on the she-groks page. I was getting mad at her, so decided to quit reading. She was trying to tell her she had psychological issues and needed to "get help". Good grief!

LATER.......... its late. I forgot to take my go to sleep pills AGAIN! aaarrrggg! I need to remember to take my pills at 9 pm - then I will be ready to hit the sake at 10. Why is that so hard for me to remember?

Dinner was my homemade seafood chowder. I posted the recipe on the recipe forum in case anyone is interested. Title: Killer Seafood Chowder. Just don't yell at me for the canned Cream of Celery soup. Its not primal - but its not TOO terrible. I think its really loaded with calories, I mean, all that heavy cream, bacon and the soup. But, it sure tasted delish!!!! But, now its all gone.......... sad day. Back to eating fish and veggies, ground beef and veggies, chicken and veggies, roast and veggies.... You understand.

and now - I have to try to go to sleep.

You can do it! I'm having the same problem with nuts and dark chocolate and "primal sweets" *sigh*. So I decided to do a Whole30 as of July 2nd (thanks Jenn for the link!).

Just tell hubby he can go buy individual helpings at your nearest ice cream store. I had to put my foot down with my hubby too. He was wanting to go several times a week.

You can make your own sauces instead of using the canned soup. Not that hard. Make up a big batch using arrowroot flour (it freezes well and isn't a grain) and freeze in can-sized containers. Nobody is going to yell at you. We're not doing this to conform to a bunch of rules, but to be good to our bodies. You can still eat that stuff and be good to your body, it just takes a little tweaking.

At one point my kids asked if we could go vegetarian for a month (sort of like a version of the Whole30) because they wanted to lose weight. So we sat down and made a list of all the meals we could think of that didn't involve meat and that we liked. And then we worked our way through it. We had more than a month's worth. We didn't feel deprived, because we liked everything we were eating. Have you tried doing something similar? Make a list of recipes that you love, and make that the basis of your meal planning and shopping. Needless to say, I made a primal version when I started this, and that's where I go for inspiration.

Judg - what a great idea for meal planning. I'm going to work on that today! As for hubby - thats what I'm going to do - tell him Baskins Robins is his new source of ice cream!!

My tummy isn't feeling very good today -- and after several days of having dairy, and several days of just feeling a bit "off" I'm convinced that the dairy is the culprit. I've sorta OD'd between the ice cream and the chowder. I enjoyed every bite of it --- but I'm sure not enjoying the after-effects.

Breakfast = 5 ounce tuna loin (needs some sauce, its a bit dry, but I'll survive!)

I feel like I'm BACK ON TRACK! I certainly lost my focus for an entire week though! In need to start walking again. The weather in Oregon is finally getting good so I have no excuses about going for a nice walk. I'll got get dressed and do that right now!

Enjoy being back on track! Hope that clears up your stomach issues.

And on an entirely different note: you are definitely prettier than your dog!

HAHAHA!!!! thanks! its good to know I'm more attractive than a saggy ole basset hound! I do love my dog though! I'll see if I can find a decent picture to post of ME one of these days. I just haven't gotten accustomed to the "mature" me........ so when I see pictures of myself I just think - "oh thats a really bad picture!" I guess I have body dysmorphic disorder cuz I think I still look like I did 20 years ago -- until I look in the mirror or at a picture! I like "me"....... I just don't like what "me" is packaged in right now! But - like your husband........ my hubby loves me from head to toe - and is very generous with the compliments and praise! (I think he means it!) Even if he doesn't mean it - I love him for saying it.

I am back on track!!! I had tuna for breakfast - real tuna - not canned. I went for a 1 mile walk and then I had an ounce of almonds for a snack. Now I'm going to go ready for work. When I get home I need to mow the grass.... and thats another mile of walking, plus maneuvering the lawn mower around!

I used to do Tae Bow (think Billy Blanks) before I got sick with the fibromyalgia. I am toying with the idea of getting one of his earlier DVDs to do at home. Its a GREAT workout and I was in really good shape when I was doing it. In fact - I was the smallest I had ever been in my adult life. I was 35 years old..... a petite size 6 and 135 pounds. I don't expect to ever see that again - being a post-meno woman and all...... but if I could just get down to that weight I'd be pretty close! The thing is -- its the only workout that I even really had FUN doing! Yes, it cardio, but I don't have to go full speed at it. Anyway, I'm thinking about. Any opinions???

I have tried it and yes, it is an arse kicker! I think it would be fine. There's nothing wrong with "shadow boxing" as a workout. Consider it a sprint!

If you enjoy it and you can ease into it gradually, why not?
