Yummy sounding dinners! Whats a "NUWAVE" ???? We ended up having grass fed beef patties with sweet potatos. The Pork Shoulder wasn't quite thawed. I'll have to cook it tomorrow.

So I did some more research and found an article about bile-salts diarrhea. It seems to fit my problem. So, it was saying I don't need bile salts because that would just make the diarrhea worse (heaven help me!) I got the calcium and I'm going to try that for a bit - if it doesn't do the job then I'll get the digestive enzymes. Today everything has been good. I like these kinds of days.

I decided I'm going to plant some squash in the garden this year. I don't have a veg. garden per say - I'm just going to plant them amongst the rhodies and azaleas and see what happens I'll just start with the squash. Not to many cuz I don't want to be one of those neighbors who is pushing everyone to take my zucchini off my hands cuz I have way too much!

When did you have your gallbladder removed? I had mine removed several years ago (must be 6 or 7 years ago) and got diarrhea every time I ate fatty things (especially whipped cream!) I remember being on a romantic weekend with my DH and spending a whole night on the toilet after having dinner at a restaurant, there was some double cream in one of the dishes, didn't have more than a teaspoon of it, but WTH! I remember a couple in the next bedroom was having a really good night, heard her scream "YES YES YES YES" and I was there on the toilet going "NO NO NO NO " . It took a few years, but then the problem just disappeared and I could eat everything again.

Squash takes up a lot of room in the garden. It's not something that fits well into the cracks between other plants.

I had thought about pulling the daffodil bulbs from my flower bed and using it to grow some veggies. Tomatoes, onions, peppers, sugar snap peas, etc. Wonder if that would look less pretty than my daffodils and weeds??

Good luck and hope the day continues to be good for you! Hope the calcium works as well.

A Nuwave is an infrared cooker. Mr. T used to do an infomercial of one. You know, "I pity the fool that doesn't cook in one of these" type ads. They work well though and I do most of my meat in it. I do some veggies too and last night did the sweet potato in there, which took 20 minutes to cook after I peeled it and quartered it.

    Have a great day!

Yes, squash does take a lot of room - but I have a very large yard. The cracks between my rhodies and azaleas are about 10 feet wide! I could probably put in a full on veg. garden by just spreading it all out amongst the shrubs. This year I will just experiment with a few types of squash. I'd love to try to grow some sweet potato!

Okay - the pork shoulder is finally in the crock pot! I just put it in on high - so it should be done and tender by dinner time. Yeah!

Last night I banged my baby toe on the leg of the bed - and it really hurts today! I wonder if I broke it. Its starting to turn black and blue! I hit it hard enough to split the nail - ouchy! Can you call in sick to work cuz your baby toe hurts?

Gosh I really want to just stay home and putter in the yard today - but its still chilly out there! How come its May and still so cold in the mornings? Where is this global warming thing happening? It sure isn't happening in my neighborhood!

I must semi brain dead today I can't think past a couple sentences and then I need to change the subject.

It could be broken. I went to the dr once b/c I dropped a big heavy wooden box on my toe from the top. She told me it wouldn't be broken b/c it's hard to break them from the top - stubbing however she said is almost a given for breaking one. I would think that if it was stubbed and is bruised, it's possibly broken... sadly there's nothing that can be done for a broken toe... expept maybe rest. Sure, take the day off!

@Jenn - will you call my boss for me? I think putting on a shoe is going to be very painful! It might be a flip flop day!

Okay -- the ice cream in my freezer is SCREAMING at me this morning! whats up with that? I think this is first time in 6 months that I've had a real craving for something un-primal. *plugging ears and humming* .............. I can't hear you!

Gall bladder came out in 2007. But I've had diarrhea issues for most of my life so can't blame anything on the surgery. Nothing much changed from before to after - just no more pain from the gallstones

I'm happy to report that I had a normal BM today! In case anyone was wondering! HAHAHAHA! Maybe the calcium is working!

Pork shoulder came out tender and perfect! Hubby is going to love it! Just hope he doesn't have to work late tonight. I haven't found a good source of organic pork or chicken yet..... and our freezer full of grass fed beef is almost gone! We need to find out if the farmer has any cows ready to butcher. We have a guy who brings us fresh free range eggs for FREE - but the last time he brought them hubby forgot to get them out of the truck when he got home from work and they had to be thrown away! 2 dozen! I was so upset! Maybe I can find something on Craigslist? Or maybe I'll go to the Saturday Market this week.
