I have done saliva testing twice. It provided a lot of insight into some issues. Depends on what type of test they are doing too. Hope it gives you some answers. I saw you had your gallbladder out. Are you taking digestive enzymes and bile salts? Most people I know that have had theirs removed did not have doctors that recommended anything. Just an additional thought.

Sorry you're not feeling well today, Tomi.

I have to admit, I miss the easiness of making a wrap or a sandwich too. Oh well, I'm not missing the energy swings.

There is a ranch dressing recipe out there made with homemade mayo but I haven't tried it yet - who has time to make homemade dressing when you have two ornery kids running around?

I do miss the convenience of tossing together a sandwich too, but boiled eggs are convenient enough for me. I hope you're having a good day!

Good morning. Weight hasn't changed, again. Still hovering at 189. I am seeing some changes in my body shape though - a little less "fluffy" around the bid section! Gotta love that! I'm going to start walking again today. It doesn't burn as many calories as biking - but it seemed to make my legs stronger. I haven't walked in about a month cuz we started biking, then the rains wouldn't stop so I haven't done much of anything for about 3 weeks now. I can feel that my legs are not as toned or strong. Time to start hoofing it again!

@KimT - yup, no gall bladder. I don't take enzymes or salts - and nope, no doctor has ever suggested that I do. Everything I've heard or read said that your liver will adjust to not having a gall bladder for storage and will just pump out bile as needed. I'll have to do some reading on bile salts. I have taken enzymes in the past and found no change in my stomach issues. It was many years ago though, and it wouldn't hurt to try again. I'm up for any suggestions!

@Jenn - I quit eating mayo after going primal cuz it was making me nauseous and bloated. I was only adding it to our home canned tuna cuz the stuff is a bit dry. I've never tried to make the homegrown stuff. I was trying to save enough bacon grease to make baconaisse - but I always use it for frying other meats so I never get enough of it stored up!

I'm really hungry this morning. Its 9:20 and I haven't made breakfast yet. I'm thinking bacon and eggs today. Dinner tonight is Pork Shoulder with steamed veggies. Whats everyone having for dinner?

Doing some reading about Bile Salts - I'm on Gallbladderattack.com - reading about all their products and what they are supposed to do - I was about ready to order the "after gall bladder removal" kit - when it said....... if your having diarrhea associated with dumping syndrome then you don't need bile salts - so, I searched Dumping Syndrome, I haven't had any kind of intestinal surgery and my diarrhea isn't triggered by eating sugery foods - so I think I can rule out that one. Back to square one.

Okay just came across a thread that looks like it might address my problem. The fix - Calcium Carbonate w/o Magnesium. I'm getting some on my way to work today! Maybe this will stop the diarrhea!

Tomi, I've worked with a doc that feels that everyone, regardless of health, should be on digestive enzymes by their mid-30's. They, along with a good quality probiotic (comes refrigerated and stays in the fridge) helped my fibro related IBS tremendously. I hope you are able to get some answers soon. I know I've read about the enzymes and bile salts as well as talked with a few docs about it. If I come across anything I'll be sure to forward it to you.

Tonight for dinner we had grass feed roast, done in the nuwave with a rub and coconut oil, cauliflower, and sweet potato.
