    Hope you are feeling better.

I have suffered from leg and toe cramps since adolescence. They seem to come and go, I can feel them coming when my carbs get too low.

Potassium never did a thing for me, but magnesium works wonders. If you can't tolerate it by mouth, maybe you could try it topically? I read about it here: Magnesium Benefits | Ancient Minerals and they have products too, or you could try something from a local store. I plan to get some soon for the hubs, who just won't take any supplements.

Feeling better today. Not totally free of the flu bug - but good enough to go about life as needed. I'm heading out to my eye exam in a few minutes. Then home to do some much needed cleaning.

Weight this morning - 183. 2 pounds above where I wanted to be on this day - but whatever. I'll try to catch up next week!

Eyes checked - new Rx on file. Hubby and I are going to order frames and lenses tonight Maybe I will convince him to take me to dinner. We do have a gift cert. for $60 to the Ram Pub - compliments of a customer. I have salmon thawed and sweet potatos to bake also........... so, maybe staying home for dinner isn't too bad either. I can put the sw. potatos in the oven right before we leave and set the timer so they don't cook too long. In fact - I could bake the entire dinner that way.............. hum....... GOOD IDEA!

I'm feeling much better. I have a little sniffle and a slight cough that causes a pounding in head. No body aches today and energy is back to normal. I just took a dose of some cold stuff to reduce the post nasal drip and hopefully eliminate the cough and constant need to clear my throat.

I ran around after my eye appt. looking for an additional set of 4 place settings for the new flatware. BOTH Targets were out of stock - and Macy's was WAY more expensive. I ended up coming home and ordering them from Target.com and paying an extra $8 for shipping. I'm thinking they are discontinueing this style because even on the Oneida website the 45 piece set is out of stock. I didn't want to run the risk of not getting a full 12 place settings so I ordered. NOW, I'm looking for dishes. I want the entire set........... dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, mugs, platter and serving bowls. I also want service for 12. Trouble is.......... I don't want to spend $300 to get it all. So, I'm shopping........... and shopping............. and shopping. UGH. I found a set that I want, but its doesn't include the serving set. I guess I can do without those. It is $69 for a 16 piece set (4 place settings). So, I'm still looking at $210, plus shipping. I'm trying to justify the expense, when we have a full cupboard of dishes - but I am so tired of not having a nice set of dishes when we have company. We have always had such a mixed up bunch of dishes --- some I brought - some he had - some we've bought at Good Will. Glasses have never matched - silverware has never matched. I think its time we get new stuff - now that the kids are gone and we can keep track of it all. No more lots spoons that were taken to school for lunch --- no more knives being used as a pry bar or screw driver! And we sent all the Disney glasses with the girls when they moved out! Son is taking all the old glasses that are etched from years of dishwasher abuse! I guess I can justify spending the money when I consider the fact that in my entire life I have NEVER bought a new set of dishes - EVER! I'm 52 years old - I can get a new set of dishes and not feel like I'm being extravegant. There.............. its settled.

On to other things more primally minded.

I ate an entire row of Oreos today! 12 oreos! thats like 500 calories of JUNK FOOD! I ate it because I had nothing to snack on. I ate bacon for breakfast - and after my shopping I wanted something "snacky". but I had nothing in the house that didn't need to be cooked. So - I went for the oreos. *hangingheadinshame* I need to keep something in the house that is healthy snack-type food.

In the past 2 weeks BOTH my bras have broken........... first the underwire popped out the top of the "slot" and jabbed in between my boobs! Second.......... I bend over to put on my shoe and POP! the underwire snapped in half (underWIRE must be underPLASTIC!!!) So........ I had to dig into the pile of bra's from when I was thinner for a few months last year................ and I found 3 that fit me! Yeah!!!! I am back down to a 36 C or D cup depending on the brand and style. That means things are getting smaller even though I'm not seeing a big change on the scale. I'm a happy girl about that! Especially considering I was exploding out of my 40 D when I started this process a year ago. I'm hoping to be a nice 32 something when I'm down to my goal weight. The girls may shrink down into little raisins before I'm done........... if they do - I'm considering surgery. Maybe a plastic surgeon needs some major boat repairs done????

This weekend: Hubby is bringing home some dead dear to make jerky yummy! We'll put up the tree and decorate the house. Maybe I will get some work done on the 5th wheel too. We're going on vacation in 8 weeks and I want it done before we go. Wallpaper border and side curtains are my job -- rehanging all the valances is hubby's job. Church either Saturday night or Sunday morning (we have 5 services on the weekends - you have to do that when you have 5000 people in your church). Should be a good weekend. I'm hoping hubby doesn't stop at the "special store" on the way home.

Better get that food ready to go into the oven............. have a good weekend everyone.

You have more people in your church than we have living on our whole peninsula! A LOT more.

Tomi, I too cannot take magnesium orally. And actually it is used to bring on a good flush in hospitals so that is part of its effect. I think some people are just much more sensitive to it. I use the Ancient Minerals magnesium gel and it works REALLY well. I get cramps in my hamstrings and quads ( enough to make me almost pass out!! ) Last time that happened DH was home and ran to get the gel and within a short while after rubbing it on the cramp eased off. And I didn't have that irritated muscle feeling - as if it will cramp again the moment I move in the wrong way. Another thing you can do is have regular Epsom salts baths - that is a form of magnesium and our skin is very efficient at absorbing it. No bowel related side effects with either of these.

And, for what it is worth, I wouldn't touch the flu shots with a barge pole. And I know that goes against everything we are told, but when you see what is in the shot as far as toxins etc and then look at how many strains of flu go through every year.... why tax your immune system with that stuff when it may even give you the flu ... I am weird like that I guess. If you do some research on the flu vaccine you might change your mind too... FWIW.

Make thee some primal crackers! Post-haste!

Or have blueberries and stevia and cream.

Make DH lock up the Oreos in his workshop and eat them outside the house, like all those people smoking on their front step... LOL!
