Leaving for Seattle at 6 pm. that means getting there at about 9 pm. I hate these late night road trips. We haven't done one in quite awhile though so no big deal. I'm going to have dinner ready at 5:30 - beef patties and acorn squash. I'll have the bags packed so we can just eat and go.

Hubby slept in the other bedroom again last night. His snoring is just getting out of the control! I wonder how long it will take that mouth piece thing to get here! But at least I slept good. So good that I got up at 6:30 - where I normally sleep until 8:00. I'm not sure I'm going to handle sleeping at BILs house. I will take my earplugs - but even those don't drown out the sound completely. I may not get a whole lot of sleep this weekend.

Hubby has a cold - I'm hoping I don't get it. I need to get him some DayQuil and NyQuil for the weekend.

weight bounced back up to 184.8 - I sure wish it wouldn't do that! The fluctuations make me nuts! But in reality - that pound and half isn't any big deal........... its just that when you're working so hard to see SMALLER numbers, those increases are such a disappointment!!! I know............ preachin' to the choir, right? We ALL feel that way.

I finished the jar of almond butter last night, which pushed me to just over 1500 calories. thats pretty much my maintenance point so I'm sure that will effect the scale. Maybe monday will be a better scale day - since I have a feeling I won't have a lot to eat this weekend in the way of strictly primal food. Plus, I will be doing a lot of work with the tree removal. Its about 100' fir tree............ so, LOTS of wood to stack! UGH. Need to remember to load the wheel barrow into the truck.

    Have a good day all!

Seems to me you were much happier with a broken scale. Maybe you need to take the new battery out and go back to the pants theory of weight loss!

^ agree! I'm just so addicted to that stupid number system! I guess I could try to project my addiction from the scales number to the pants number.............. hum. Thats worth pondering.

Maybe you could put the scale someplace hard to get to. Then you could weigh in, but it would be an effort!

Thought about that - but my son still uses the scales - I think he's addicted too. He's lost 130 pounds! I think he's too skinny - but he says he still has fat on him. He just needs to bulk up - but doesn't eat enough to build muscle. He eats 6 eggs for breakfast - not sure what for lunch (almonds?) and a chicken breast with some bacon and a little bit of veggies most days for dinner. He's about 5'10" and weighs 150 pounds. Lean! But, has come down from 280 so does have some lose skin. He'll get it figured out. But - the scales are on the floor in the main bathroom, that is the one he primarily uses. Not totally convenient for me - as I need to come downstairs (nekid) if he's already gone in the morning - bringing my clothes with me. I should just FIGHT the urge to see what I weigh on a daily basis and only check on Fridays!

Need to pack, pay some bills and shower............. I have 2.5 hours. I've spent entirely too much time on this dang computer today! I did walk 2 miles between rain showers though - and was blessed with a gorgeous double rainbow! AWESOME!

I'm 5 days of strict primal so far! I plan to make it through the weekend too. I can do this............

Thanks, Pedidoc - much appreciated Its not going to easy - these people LOVE to keep junky snack food well stocked! Luckily the only thing they normal have that I like to eat is dark chocolate - and since that seems to give me stomach issues - I'm abstaining. I might get really hungery and drink LOTS of water all weekend. That wouldn't be a totally bad thing...........

I'm dragging my feet --- I have one hour to shower, pack and prepare a meal for my hubby to devour before we hit the road. I have a HUGE breakfast of 5 peices of thinly sliced bacon - 4 eggs - 1 oz colby jack cheese --- and just minutes ago porked out on almond butter. So I believe my tummy is done for the night. Since I haven't had wheels today I didn't get any "road" food Thats a plus! If hubby wants to stop I will try to talk him out of it. I'm taking a hot mug of chai for him and a hot mug of tea for me.

Okay, Peeps............ gotta run. May not check in until monday - just have to see how the weekend goes. Later Gater!

I save the washing for the end - or, just hop into the shower for a quick hair and body wash after a nice soak. We used to have a hot tub........... I'm missing it these days. I used to get up in the middle of the night when my fibro was causing too much pain to sleep - going out into the back yard and climb in - buck nekid! Its very nice to sit alone in the hot tub, nekid at 2 AM. And yes, we have a VERY private backyard.......... well now we do - we used to be quite exposed until we put up the 6 foot wood fence.......... so, I guess I was taking my chances - but I didn't care cuz it took the pain away The thing is - with park land on 3 sides we don't have to worry about neighbors peering into our yard --- just the wayward lawbreaker who isn't supposed to be in the park after dusk. Then theres the families of raccoons wandering through the yard - that was not fun.

So, dinner has morphed from acorn squash to whatever veggies are left in the fridge cuz we're leaving tomorrow. Another night of roasted veggies it is........ and a LOT!!! Apparently the past week of binging on veggies hasn't hampered my weight loss efforts so maybe I will just not be so concerned with staying VLC. I do sleep better when I'm not restricting the carbs quite so much. I'm looking forward to a nice hunk of pan fried salmon and roasted veggies tonight!

Oh, the 5th wheel is finally coming home tonight! that means I can put it all back together, finish sewing the side curtains on all the windows and we can start enjoying weekends away at the beach again! Still not sure what we will do when my son moves out.......
What's bad about wandering raccoons? Assuming that your garbage is well secured, that is. Skunks, on the other hand. I had one walk within inches of me when I was out trying to cool off about 2 AM in a heat wave. I sat very, very still... I was just in my nightie, and had left the lights off, because it was NOT a very private backyard. We lived close to the river and a park, hence the various critters who would show up.

Three cheers for bingeing on veggies! When you need to feel a full tummy, that's the best way to go.

Hope you have a great weekend, and that you can find other veggies to binge on.

Its Sunday morning. The weekend has been great - we got the entire tree cut into rounds, and almost all the branches cleaned up and shredded (borrowed a friends shredder!). Hubby is finishing up the last bit of the shredding this morning as everyone else goes to church (his surprise to BIL) I'm nursing an aching stomach and frequent trip to the bathroom --- India food last night. I ordered Tandoori Mixed Grill. It was WONDERFUL tasting - but not fun on the digestive system.

As for Raccoons......... they can be very mean and they carry rabbies. People are pretty cautious of them around here. They are fun to watch though - as long as they don't get too close.

Big surprise....... I stepped on the scales at BILs house and it says 179. I'm not sure if thats accurate or not - but several others in the house weighed and told me it was weighing them correctly. If thats right - then I am a very happy girl! Will have to wait to see what the scales at home tell me. I have to say I'm feeling much lighter - so who knows? Could be all those veggie binges!

We're heading back home in a few hours - after lunch - and its a 4 hour drive. I need to get showered while everyone else is out of the house. Hope y'all have a great day!
