    Bulletproof Coffee Smoothie ??????

    Primal Fuel
Has anyone thought of trying this?

Thinking about doing a fasted Cardio Circuit followed by some heavy bag striking for 30mins to 45mins in the morning upon waking. After the workout, would it be possible to do a single cup of bulletproof coffee mixture with a couple scoops of say a chocolate protein power?

    thinking....
1c bulletproof coffee (butter and coconut oil)
    1c ice
    1-2scoops of chocolate protein powder

Reason: get the energy, focus, and boost for the morning with some protein in there.

    Thoughts?

Since one of the bigger arguments is that fat will slow the digestion of protein....
I think this will work best for a morning BPC Protein Shake =)

I would think the butter would just clump up because of the temperature, but just the MCT oil could work!

The coconut oil seems to dissolve very easily.
I would definitely do it in order of making the BP coffee first, then add ice and protein powder afterwards.

Gotta watch the protein powder as it causes insulin spikes. The whole point of bulletproof coffee is to make you a fat burning machine. Also the ice would cause the fat to get cold and not stay in liquid form. Not a good idea all around.

Had some leftover smoothie from PWO the night before still in the blender one morning this weekend. I just dumped all the ingredients for that day's BPC in and mixed it all up. It seemed to blend just fine. Now, I don't know if the mix of protein and fat along with the "issue" of whey protein being insulin spiking will be optimal for whatever your health/diet goals are, but it WILL blend just fine. I didn't use any ice, though...

    Hmmm...
Should I just wait until lunch to have anything to eat then and just keep the BPC the way it is?
I guess I'm worried that I will cause muscle loss if I dont get some protein in after the fasted cardio circuit / heavy bag workout.

Maybe have a protein/water shake about an 1hr after the BPC?
