    Primal Fuel
    So here is what I ate today:
    8:45 - 2 boiled eggs
    12:00 - salad (spinach, tomato, celery, chicken, mushroom, cucumber, olive oil and balsamic)
    5:00 - chicken and vegetable casserole, apple for dessert
    2 fish oil supplements.
    Today I am feeling excellent! Had a superb day at work, was in a fantastic mood and I got my job sorted out for the fall (even after I thought it fell through)! I am super excited about my job for the fall, it is going to be perfect experience for the type of work I want to do, and it is super close to my new home! Sooo excited! Yeah, I am just in a fan-tas-tic mood today. Anyway, some of my friends will be coming over tonight to hang out a bit, which is almost always synonymous with popcorn. I may try to just chop up some vegetables to snack on instead of popcorn.

    edit: had an orange and about a handful of popcorn around 9pm

    Here is what I ate today:
    8:30 - 2 eggs
    12:30 - turkey, piece of cheese, cucumber, carrot, snap peas, olive oil and balsamic
    5:30 - hamburger without a bun, salad (unfortunately some sort of franken-dressing was already on the salad), apple
    Yeah, my dinners are never very primal, but I cant fix that while I live at home with my parents. I am just trying to keep my dinner portions small and eat primal when I can. Only another month and I'll be cooking for myself again.
    For supplements I had 2 fish oil pills. Spent some time outside in the sunshine to get some vitamin D. For exercise I went to spin class this morning, that probably is not the ideal exercise for primal, but I really really like spin class and I am not giving it up! I have way too much fun doing classes at the gym haha. While I was at the gym I weighed myself, 146. At least now I have a starting point.
    Today I am in a good mood. I feel good about myself because I have been eating well and not binging! I want to keep this up.

    Here is what I ate today:
    8:30 - banana, 2 eggs
    12:45 - salad (spinach, carrot, tomato, turkey, olive oil, balsamic, green pepper)
    3:00 - piece of cheese, apple
    6:00 - chili. piece of cheese.
    Also had 2 fish oil supplements. Went for a long walk in the gorgeous weather today. Feeling superb! I'm starting to get a little stressed about some school stuff though. I thinking about trying some meditation to help with stress management. I know my summer semester is going to be stressful, so maybe learning something like meditation or yoga could help me? I'll have to look into it.

    Aaaand here is what I ate today:
    8:30 - 2 eggs
    12:15 - chili
    5:20 - banana
    8:30 - homemade beef and barley soup
    Also had 2 fish oil supplements. For exercise I went to my favorite cardio class at the gym, sooo much fun! This class actually makes me look forward to mondays!
    So I am feeling amazing today. And I just realized I have not had a real crazy wild binge in over a week! (don't want to jinx myself haha) But really, since I am not eating refined sugars, I don't have the cravings I used to! I'm not even following 'primal' very well since my dinners are never really primal, but I honestly feel so much better than I used too.

    Here is what I ate today:

    1:00 - salad (spinach, carrot, slivered almonds, olive oil, balsamic, tomato, green pepper)
    7:30 - chicken cooked in salsa, rice, vegetables, apple
    Also took 2 fish oil supplements. For exercise I did a lot of walking (probably 2 hours total)
    Feeling pretty tired today, have not been sleeping a lot lately. Hopefully tonight I can get to bed early tonight.

    8:00 - carrot, cucumber, olive oil, balsamic
    Also had 2 fish oil supplements. And went for a 45min walk.
    So today I got my period a week early (probably tmi, haha) and I am feeling cranky, tired and grossss. I assume I got my period so early because of the changes in my diet. Anyway, I pretty much wanted to eat all the ice cream and popcorn I could find, butttt I cut up a carrot and cucumber, drizzled some olive oil over it and that seemed to take care of my craving. I'm proud I made a good choice instead of binging!

    Well done! I've been reading thru and ur doing so well avoiding your cravings. I find it so hard too but I'm learning that persevering only makes the next time easier.

    Yep, the cravings suck, but I find the longer I stick with this, the less cravings I have!

    Anyway, for most of today I've been feeling yucky (period... ugh, haha). I'm proud that even though I am craving bad foods, I have not cheated! Not even on all the easter cookies, jellybeans and chocolates around. I even made cookies for my family tonight and didn't even taste the batter. I've come a long way from baking half the cookie dough and eating the other half! Hahah. Also, I've noticed this period is not nearly as bad as my periods usually are. My skin has barely broken out and I have not had mood swings. I am super tired but that is not abnormal.

    5:30 - burger w/o a bun, salad (spinach, mushroom, olive oil), apple
    So today was a bit carb heavy with all the fruit, but I am still craving sweets so I guess it was better than a refined sugar binge. I'll just try to stay away from too much fruit tomorrow. Pretty bland day today, just doing some studying. Hanging out with friends tonight so that should lift my mood.

    today I ate:
    7:30 - 2 eggs, orange
    1:00 - salad (ham, spinach, carrot, cucumber, olive oil, balsamic)
    2:00 - apple, handful of raisins
    4:30 - chili
    7:00 - apple and piece of cheese
    So I feel like I have just been munching on carbs all day. The weekends are never good for me, not busy enough haha, all I think about it snacking! Oh well, I'll try and do better tomorrow.
    Also took 2 fish oil supplements and went to spin class for some exercise. Weighed myself at the gym, 140. 6 pounds in a week haha. Probably all water weight but it was still nice. A woman I spin with also said I was looking really lean!
