    Whole 30 and not lose weight???

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification
    Anyone do a Whole 30 and not lose weight???

    I am scared to stop counting calories as that is the only way I lose weight.
    I am also still addicted to HWC in my coffee.
    PLUS
    I am currently not eating fruit and Whole 30 suggests fruit intake??

    These are my main concerns.

    ANyone have any negative experiences with WHole 30 OR is it time to release the fear and just do it???

    I also saw something about portion sizes with Whole 30??? MEat must be the size of your palm???

    Where would I find that info???

    I got bad news for you....if you are drinking coffee with heavy cream you are not doing a whole 30

    no portion sizes in whole 30, but lots of folks do it and don't lose weight. chocotaco has a whole (amazingly well documented!) thread on it on here.

    i think it's more about health and inflammation detection that weight loss. in other words - don't do it to lose weight!

    Maybe I"ll continue paleo and then do a whole 30.
    30 pounds left. Wondering how fast I can shed it. That's why I was wondering about the whole 30???

    I did Whole 30 with additional restrictions on fruit, nuts and coffee, and didn't lose any weight. It is Okay to add extra restrictions to Whole 30. I did weigh in every week though, to make sure I am not gaining weight on it. On the upside it normalized my appetite, so I could stop over-eating. Not that I lost weight after that anyway, but maintaining became less of a math excersise. I think one of the benefits of the Whole 30 that in the end it helps you to stop fearing to stop counting.

    P.S: If you are using heavy cream you are not doing a Paleo diet either, you are doing Primal. Classic Paleo is relatively low in fats (moderate intake) and prohibits dairy.

    Did you complete the 30 days?
    Are you hungry between meals? Describe that hunger feeling.
