    Question about ketosis

I'm doing a leptin reset but I am curious about one thing. It calls for a high fat/high protein breakfast (makes sense), however, if you are trying to burn excess fat stores, wouldn't you want to eat less fat so your body begins burning what you already have stored?

I see a lot of conflicting info, can you clarify?

First you need to train your body to efficiently burn fat, then when you cut back on it in your food after a few weeks, you'll be burning your own instead of dietary sources.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.

aha see I guess that's what confused me. Because that makes perfect sense but nowhere that I am reading tells you to reduce fat once you're in ketosis!

That would depend on your goals. Now that I'm at maintenance, I do not restrict fat. To lose body fat, should I choose to do so, I would just go a day or two eating lean.

Yeah I have fat to lose, so once I have "reset" I'll def cut back on my fat intake. Thanks for clarifying, I was kinda baffled.

I don't think if you eat a big protein/fat breakfast that it's enough to prevent you from using your body fat. You'd have to eat your whole day's worth of calories to do that.

I don't fast for the rest of the day...do you mean a whole days worth of calories in one meal?

I dunno about this leptin thing. The more I read the more conflicting info I get and it doesn't make much sense.
