Gained 7 lbs in two days?!?!?!

I'll admit, I fell completely off the wagon this weekend. I know, I should make better decisions. I am surprised, however, that I gained 7 lbs in two days?

Can any of the experts explain how this is even possible? I didn't eat 10 pizzas or anything like that. I'm sure I probably doubled my daily caloric intake (and had plenty of carbs and sugar), but, 7 lbs????

Most of it is probably water and stored glycogen. For every gram on glucose you store as glycogen you store four grams of water. I lost 6 lbs when I depleted my glycogen stores. Could also have a backed up digestive tract as well...

It's usually water weight and constipation. I get all excited seeing that I gained weight after pigging out only to have it go back down after two days

See above but even being good my weight can fluctuate between 2-3 lbs over a day.

Makes sense. I know that the "pros" say to throw out the scale since weight fluctuations happen sometime without reason. I do like seeing the progress each week...usually down 2-3 lbs per week. I started around 263 in January and have gotten down to 233 at my lowest. Haven't even really been exercising much. Simply amazed at the weight lost so far. Want to drop another 30 or so.

The scales are little demons, sitting in the corner just waiting to demoralise us! I am strictly primal and have been for 11 weeks, not a bit of alchohol, sugar, flour, grain etc has passed my lips, yet last week I put on 1lb and keep losing and gaining the same pound!! However, the tape measure is your bestest friend!! It told such a different story to the scales this week, another 1.5 inches off my waist, and down to a size 16 bottom and 14 top from 20 and 18, in 11 weeks. Nasty, hasty scales.

I try to weigh myself fully clothed with shoes on sometimes and sometimes with a big parrot on my shoulder. That way I'm never too sure what my actual weight is but I can still see if there are any downward trends over time.
Female, 5'3", 49, Starting weight: 163lbs. Current weight: 135 (more or less).
    I can squat 180lbs, press 72.5lbs and deadlift 185lbs
