Are you itchy all over or just where your clothing covers? If it's just where your clothing touches your skin I'd say it's the soap nuts. If it's all over you could possibly be consuming something you're allergic to.
I now only wash with warm water every day, including my hair, and I clean my clothes with soap nuts
I'm pretty happy with how my hair looks now and I don't smell but I'm so damn itchy all day! Anyone have any ideas why?
I live in a soft water area
cheers

If not an allergy, apply coconut oil to dry skin. I have been putting it on my dermatitis with great success. No more itching!
Are you on any medication? If so have your meds changed recently?

It's all over my body, I looked at the soap nuts and thought maybe it was them but technically they are a fruit not a nut and they're hypoallergenic? but if im not washing with anything but water it must be them right? but i dont want to go back to chemical detergents
If it makes a difference I woke up this morning ill so I wonder if the worse than usual itching was caused because of a compromised immune system? I'm still new to this diet and it's not working as of yet but I'm struggling to be 100% strict because of university pressures

Make sure you still exfoliate (scrub gently with a loofa or wash cloth) when you bathe to ensure you're clearing the dead skin off. I would think that you might feel itchy if your immune system is compromised.
I know a LOT about itching. I've had aquagenic pruritis for almost 20 years. Since you're new to eating primal, I wonder if it's the changes in diet. Maybe toxins leaving your body. It will probably pass when your body adjusts. I itch in response to changes in body temperature. If I get humid or my skin is exposed to air, I itch on my arms and legs. My itch goes away with heat. I sit in front of a heater or get my shower super hot. Others respond well to very cold water or sitting in front of an a/c unit.
