    Criticism of Coconut Milk

This is from today's Realage information regarding coconut milk:

But it's the saturated fat that will keep you from pouring coconut milk on everything. Saturated fat is the one with the bad rep for clogging arteries, boosting inflammation, even contributing to depression and brain aging. That's why RealAge experts Mehmet Oz, MD, and Michael Roizen, MD, and virtually every major health organization harp on about limiting sat fats in your diet. Discover the truth about coconut oil.

That said, those who tout coconut milk's health benefits veer into fuzzy science when it comes to saturated fat content. They say coconut milk's fat is mostly medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), which, according to theory, are quickly used for energy and not stored to clog arteries.

Dr. Mike disagrees. "There's no data that MCFAs act on your genes differently than longer chain saturated fatty acids, and that's what ages you."

Since I consume a lot of coconut oil and coconut milk, I was wondering if anyone had any comments regarding the above.

Saturated fat is healthy. The medical establishment is mostly retarded in matters of diet.

I get a kick out of the ongoing idea that somehow saturated fat is "stored to clog arteries" as if the body just takes the fat and lays it down directly in the arterial wall.

But really, you do know that saturated fats are not the devil, right? The idea that saturated fat is the root of all evil is being debunked pretty well even in a lot of mainstream medical circles.

As mentioned above this has nothing to do with coconut milk specifically, and everything to do with flawed ideas about saturated fat. They just picked coconut milk because it's a popular product right now.

    yeah you are

I mean there's so many ants in my eyes! And there are so many TVs, microwaves, radios... I think, I can't, I'm not 100% sure what we have here in stock.. I don't know because I can't see anything! Our prices, I hope, aren't too low!
