Judg, I think you'd be close to right about that

Yay! Having small group at my house was great last night! I did cave to a few sugar cookies, but that was it yesterday. When I got up this morning I decided I would make bullet proof coffe for the first time EVER! I would like to state I am also not a daily coffee drinker. I won't say that I was completely happy and all like I LOVE this stuff, but it did what I needed it to do. I really didn't want to get out of bed, again, and go in an hour earlier today. I actually ended up making myself about two servings worth. The first time was the straight up bulletproof coffe. The second time I added some vanilla and a scant amount of maple syrup. I also decided to fast a little today because of the cookies and the fact that I had two not homemade hot chocolates yesterday, along with some plantain chips (again not homemade), and some gluten free chips. I managed about 14.5 hours before going and eating some pork rinds.

    Yesterday:
    B: 4 pcs bacon
S: Swirly crustless quiche, hot chocolate
L: Leftover turkey leg and sweet potato pancakes
    S: Hot chocolate
S three hours later: Chocolate secret bar
D: I think like 5 lemony lamb dolmas (some people liked them, but not everyone) 3 cookies, blackberries, raw carrots, plantain chips, and some regular gluten free chips with some GREEN MOUNTAIN GRINGO SALSA (have I mentioned how much I enjoy that stuff?)
Drinks: Unsweet iced tea, hot chocolate, and water.
    No exercise again.

I'd like to add that even though I haven't been working out this week, I've maintained my weight. Of course I'd like to lose, but I'm not doing everything that I can to make that happen right now. In the meantime I'll do what I can to maintain.

Maintaining is good. You can't have a successful weight loss plan without it. People tend to feel defeated when they plateau, when they shouldn't. If you can relax, and not put the weight back on, that is a major, major victory. That means any future weight lost will stay off, which is the whole point really.

I learned something about yellow fin tuna yesterday! Don't try to cook it in a piccata sauce it won't take. Oh well.

    Yesterday:
B: 2 servings of bullet proof coffee. One was straight up, the second was with half a capful of maple syrup and some vanilla
    L: 3/4th's a bag of pork rinds
S at home: Plantain chips and the last little bit of the gf chips with some GMG salsa
D: Roasted almonds and Kind Fruit and Nut bar
Drinks: The BF coffee, some chai with half & half nutmeg and cinnamon with a bit of sugar in the raw (SB didn't have any honey at this location)
No exercise again yesterday. I'm on day 6 of work. Since I'm working straight through this weekend and getting up early, I don't really want to stress myself out too much. In the meantime I have to watch what I'm eating. I made some more of the BF coffee today to sort of give me a booster. I did get to somewhat sleep in this morning.

I'm working through this weekend till next Friday. Some people are working over the holiday week, but I already let my boss know I couldn't come in. We're driving to Round Rock, TX to visit with my brothers family. I'm a little bummed because my brother won't be home for Christmas.

Very sad yesterday in our nation. Yes I did cry for those families who lost children and the families of the adults taken.

I bought some coffee beans to grind so that they can be thicker when I use the french press for the bulletproof coffee. The other reason is becuase after reading the ingredient list on some of the ground stuff I saw artificial flavoring. No mentin of what that flavoring might be just artificial flavoring. Not buying it. At least with hot chocolate mix they tell you!

B: Bulletproof coffee and 5 pcs bacon
S: 85% lindt dark chocolate and Kind VMA
    L: Pistachio's
S: GF chocolate chip cookie, two snack size blocks of sharp cheddar cheese
D: Jason's Deli Papa Joe, no bread. Baked tater chips, and a pickle
Drinks: The coffee and some Black Currant tea.

As you can see, I let go yesterday with the foods. I almost attacked Gabi yesterday when I was hungry after work. She was trying to get me to wait till we walked over to Jason's to grab dinner. I fought her over the cookie because I was so hungry when I left work! The end of the work day was pretty hectic and stressful because I was trying to get things set up for today.

Oh snap son! Man, I didn't realize I'd been absent for more than a week. I'm not going to get into everything I ate while I was visiting with my family down in Round Rock. There's just no way that's going to work. I am going to say I'm right back at square one of my journal. I had thought I had done worse but the scale says otherwise. On our way back from Round Rock I decided to eat mostly primal with a few dark chocolate truffles. Still not the best idea in the world. I'm happy to be home because there is still some Christmas snow on the ground

Gabi and I stopped at Natural Grocers yesterday before getting back to our place so that I could pick up some food for dinner. I finished off my pork rinds and some sour cream. I'm thinking today is a good day to start with a fat flush and perhaps see how many days I can carry this off. I don't have to be back at work until Wednesday so I have some time to chill.

I have learned that I can't have caffeinated bullet proof coffee. I think I'll stick to a mix of decaf and choffy for now when I make it. That's what I'm going with this morning to see what happens. I get all weird whenever I have caffeine, kind of like I'm not myself. I don't like that too much.

I had an interesting Christmas time with my family this year. Mom tried her hardest to make gluten free where she could. Although she's still using bean flour mixes. I'm hoping that will change, but who knows. She can't let go of her beans any better than I can sugar. Which essentially means I'm screwed, lol.

Pork rinds with sour cream is one of my favorite 'meals' on a fat fast!

Mine too! Especially with Nancy's Sour Cream. Oh boy is that good stuff!

Going to see Les Miserables tonight with some of my ladies from small group and Ms. Gabi. We're going to dinner before hand at Carino's. Time to check out the menu. Maybe I can get a steak and just eat the fat off of it? Hmmm. Speaking of fat, I almost forgot to mention the awesome ham my brother cooked the other night. Man that thing was tasty! Mom used allspice since they didn't have any cloves and then they drizzled this ginger pecan pan sauce that mom had made the day before. Man that stuff was AWESOME to dip the pork fat in. Roxy seemed to like it on her dog food too. She kept eating my brother's dogs food so I kept having to put it outside while Joy was upstairs (Roxy still can't seem to get along with other dogs even though she loves people). So I opted to pour a little leftover sauce in her dish with her food along with some pork fat. She was a happy dog after that

My nieces and nephews had fun with Roxy once they found out how much she loves to play soccer. We bought her a medium sized bouncy ball from Walmart and she went to town with that thing. She beat my oldest nephew in soccer and running. I knew they would have fun with her, but I wish she would have played nicely with my brother's dog. We alternated letting the dogs out while we were there visiting. It is possible that Roxy made a traveling buddy with my mom's dog though. By the time we got mom back to her place yesterday she wasn't barking at Mugsy, mom's chubby little pug. Who knows. I'd like to bring him over a few times to see if she'll be cool with him.
