Sunday=procrastination day. Especially after a 5 day weekend. I spent the day with one of my girlfriends and I think it was the best thing I've done in a while. She gave me some perspective that I needed before I do anything stupid. I can only hope I was able to provide the same.

Sat:
B: Swirly zucchini squash and 3 pcs of bacon.
S: Kind Fruit and Nut bar
I didn't really have lunch since I knew I was going to have dinner with the boyfriend before we went to the Turkey Bash Demolition Derby. So, I sort of finished off the macadamia nuts I had in the fridge
D: Cozumel Island Salad with Citrus Vinegrette from Joe Taco. I did sneak in about 5 corn chips.
Drinks: Water, unsweetened iced tea, and some Starbucks hot cinnamon tea
Exercise: Crossfit Death by Pull ups and Thrusters. I took Roxy out for about a 2 mile walk down Old Soncy Trail. She was pretty worn out by the time we got home, poor pooch.

Today:
B: Leftover Swirly Zucchini Quiche and some homemade sausage
L: Salad bar and a side of smoked Turkey from Jason's Deli
S: Kind Fruit and Nut bar
D: Mom's Parm chicken, smashed taters, and some broccoli. I did have some of her homemade gluten free chocolate chocolate chip cookies. Like about 8 of them. They are super thin, but super freaking good. Plus I ate some of those Nut Thin things. I think about 5 of them.
Drinks: Sweetened Tea, then unsweetened tea, and water.
No exercise. I overslept today because I forgot to set my alarm so I was late getting to church.

LOL @ Alessandra. You have every right to be tight-lipped about your personal life. But I reserve the right to chuckle at it. But if your Mom is making the trek to BF's parents' house... I know how Italians think.

Sounds like you did relatively well for a celebration weekend. Those times are always tricky, aren't they?

Ah well, it ended anyway. At least as far as my relationship. I'm actually completely okay with it as it's not really an ideal time for me right now. I can only hope he'll be okay. It was fun while it lasted though.

Yesterday:
B: 2 sqaures of the quiche and the last patty of breakfast sausage
S: Kind Almond and Coconut bar
L: Leftover from dinner at mom's
S: Woah, not sure what happened here, but I was pretty darn hungry when I got home yesterday. I ate like another 7 of those cookies mom made. Plus some liverwurst, a taste bite of Gabi's chicken salad, about 4 grape cherry tomatoes, and some small brie cheese thing.
D: Paleo taco salad meat and some lettuch with Green Mountain Gringo mild salsa and some of my homemade dressing. Just a heads up, when you combine the salsa and my dressing, it's a slight bit tart!
Drinks: Water and some unsweetened iced tea
Exercise: 15 & 15 push ups, 50 & 50 air squats, 1:40 & 1:20 time for planks, 30 & 30 calf raises, 8 assisted & 8 assisted pull ups, and 4 assisted & 4 assisted chin ups, plus walking the dog for about 1/2 m on the morning walk. We were going to play volleyball outside yesterday, but it was cold and windy at the same time.

Someone please tell me what's wrong with this article? So, she's farming and ranching, but complaining about not having a job. She's worried about places such as Hostess closing down? There's so much wrong with this article, but the food thing really irks the crap out of me.

I'll stay away from the politics part of it, but if her husband has his own business, and they ranch and farm, sounds like they are not without 'a job', just without 'two' jobs.

The thing that struck me is that she said running 20 cattle and growing vegetables supplies them with 60% (hope I'm getting this right) of their food. If they were primal, that would be 100%! Plus, she'd probably drop that extra weight she is carrying in the photo. (Not trying to be mean- I KNOW stress can pack on the pounds- but how many of us, when faced with a smaller income, would LOVE to be able to say, 'well, we've got 20 cows and vegetables, so we'll be okay'?)

I think she is trapped in CW about her whole situation. She needs that second paycheck so that she can spend to BUY food, not grow it, and keep places like Hostess in business, perhaps.

Sabine, I think I'm there 100% with you. I just wanted to throw a freaking steak at her, but she's got cattle already! She's almost right there with being primal. Most of us would enjoy being in her shoes with the garden and livestock. The food processing plant thing just blew my freaking mind. I realize there are people that work there, but why not give up that life and do better? We seriously progressed backwards with all of that.

Judg, it's okay. Sometimes things just aren't what you want them to be. Life goes on and I'm at peace. Gabi and I have been working on homemade Christmas ornaments the past few nights. Hopefully we'll get the tree up on Saturday!

Good morning! The day after the mess I managed to cause yesterday is here. Thank goodness for that

Yesterday:
B: 2 1/2 pcs bacon, 1/2 roasted acorn squash with butter, cinnamon, dried currants, coconut flakes, about a tsp of real maple syrup, and some sliced almonds. Yes that was a good way to start my day off.
S: Kind Madagascar Vanilla Almond bar
L: Leftover Taco meat and the other half of the acorn squash with some butter and salt
S: Liverwurst! And the last two of mom's cookies
D: Fiery Jalapeno burger and about 3 sweet potato pancakes.
Drinks: Water
Exercise: 15 & 15 push ups, 50 & 50 air squats, 1:20 & 1:20 on plank, 30 & 30 on calf raises, 8A & 8A on pull ups, 6A & 5A on chin ups. Morning 1/2 mile walk with Roxy.
It was nice to be home and make homemade ornaments with Gabi last night. I still have plenty more to do, but I'm getting there. We did watch our show, "Hart of Dixie", last night. I had told Gabi that the TV had to go off at 8 P.M. then I forgot about it. After the show was over, she shut the TV off herself. I love that kid

I'm thinking today is going to be a much better day than yesterday since yesterday is done and over with. The other thing is that I have my small group tonight and Gabi has her youth group.
