Good! That means you're feeling proud of yourselves, not guilty for "skipping" a workout.

Hey, gotta make sure my peeps aren't beating up on themselves...

I don't mind skipping them every once in a while. They aren't usually too long to begin with.

Ok, so I found the website for the coconut bar that I tried two days ago. Here's some information on it: Coconut Snack Bars These bars are kind of tasty, but I've only had the Classic one. I'm craving some chocolate today, like a major craving. I wanted to hold back, but I gave into it. Hmm, I might wait a while before making the blueberry candies again. Mom's dehydrator took too long. It doesn't have a temp controller on it either. Plus, I think eating all those berries made my sugar craving worse! Could be why I was seriously wanting some chocolate.

Smacks head against wall. My kid, she's not having any of giving up gluten or bread. She wants to be normal. She sites my sister as an example. This is hard to go against because she is one of those that can eat that stuff all day. She runs marathons, works out, and is a mother. She and her husband are avid hikers. It's hard to explain to her when her evidence is right there in my face. No, I don't ever hear complaints from my sister about her health. I think she's sort of like me and just doesn't say too much if she's in pain. We've both just learned to deal with it and carry on. Case in point for me: While out barefoot walking and doing some sprint training, I got one of those little itty bitty bur things in my foot. Pulled it out and kept going. Only, by the time I got home, I realized there was some of it still in my toe. I didn't have time to worry about it because I had to get washed and to church. Gabi didn't even know that I had it in there until I after I finally took it out. Aside from my mom, the women in our family don't talk about the physical pain we're in, as often, to other family members because we're too busy worrying about other stuff.

Anywho, she wants to be "normal". I can't really argue with that because she's at a point in her life where fitting in is so important. I already talk to her about other stuff that will get her into serious trouble. She gets all that, but this is so much harder. She doesn't want people looking at her funny because of what she eats. I have a hard time with this because at her age, I honestly didn't give second thought to that kind of stuff. This is sort of foreign territory to me. My sister, on the other hand, she would know more about this stuff.

Well, I need to post about yesterday and my slip ups. I've found another trigger for my sugar issues, so hopefully this helps me get this under control a little better. Fruits. I've already sort of drastically reduced my intake. It turns out that eating them in the morning hours triggers me wanting sugar later on in the day. The berry candies were delicious, even though they never completely dried. The only problem is, I know I ate pretty much all of them withing 3 days time. That's too much. By the time I got around to the store the other night, I was craving chocolate. I did grab the Coconut Secret Classic Cocnut Bar (27g's of fat). Unfortunately, I also grabbed some of Gabi's little chocolate centered rolled up wafer things. So, fruits. Need to pretty much back off. Treat for once in a while.

I'm going to attempt to remember everything I ate yesterday. Oh, there's a burger joint here that sells a 16" burger. Yeap, had some of that, no bread though. They also sell 24". I'm sure they are extremely bad for me, but I ate it because it was beef.

    Yesterday
    B: 4 pcs bacon
    S: 1 large avocado
L: Uhm, I'm not exactly sure how much burger I ate, but I know it was more than a 1/4 lb. Pickle Chips, A few fries, then some tomato slices
S: Fried pork rinds, Classic Coconut Bar, and later on those things that Gabi has hid from me.
D: Buffalo Wild Wings 12 pc Classic Wings in Garlic Parmesan. A few of Gabi's fries
    Drinks: Water
    Exercise:
PEM Push ups Squats Calf Raises Plank Superman Pull up Chin ups
    25 50 30 45 secs 20 1 3
    25 assist 50 30 30 secs 20 1 3

Since I didn't have to work today, I got up with the intent of getting in some quality long walk time. Sidetracked by some chores. I did manage a walk and it was about a mile with some sprint training between tree lines. We have this trail called Rock Island Rail Trail that's been built over the old Rock Island Railroad, or parts of it. It's been lined with different types of trees (If you don't know any better, it's a pretty cool idea. It's only until you realize about none of these trees are native to the area that it might slightly irk you, but I digress). It runs right behind our apt complex and goes on for several miles through the suburbs of Amarillo. It's nice to walk on first thing in the morning or late in the evening. Watch out for the burs on the grass though, lol.

I did give into the corn tortilla's at Ruby Tequilla's today. I think next time, I'll just ask if they can bring me an avocado and I'll just eat that! All I had was the guac and chips. Bad move, but it happens. Oh, I had a small portion of Gabi's brisket meat.

    Today
    B: 5 pcs bacon
    L: Chips and guacamole
    S: Pork rinds
D: Two of mom's bacon burgers (bacon cooked in them), some sauteed mushrooms and shallots (okay, maybe a whole serving there....), steamed broccoli, some bacon bits, and some slaw that mom made. Good stuff.
    Drinks: Water

Exercise: 1 mile barefoot walk with sprints, about 12.

I wouldn't push it too much with Gabi right now. I'm sure you'll find a way to work it out with her eventually, especially if she doesn't feel too pushed.

Does the fruit trigger problems if you have it later in the day?

I agree about Gabi. You can make sure she eats well at home, but don't argue about what she's eating outside the house.
