Thanks Candy Here's a link to where we're staying. Palo Duro Canyon State Park I won't complain too much because we need it, but it's raining!

Wow, I was actually worn out by the time we got home this morning. I'm glad I wasn't the driver, lol. Oh, I ate WAY too much food yesterday. I ate like we were going to be hiking all day long and then it didn't happen. We had an awesome dinner last night though. Someone grilled up some fillet mignon. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, it was sooooooooooooooooooo dang good. I haven't eaten much today because I think my belly is mad that I filled it up and didn't do as much walking. However, I had a blast! I managed to get taunted by a turkey this morning. Little tom booger! I was trying to get his pic and he ran off. Then, I could hear him calling but couldn't see him. We did finally see him on our way out. I'll post pictures and more information later. Need to shower and get Gabi some new shorts.

Sounds like a great time! Much more adventurous than anything I did.

Mental note to self: Do NOT under ANY circumstances take 12 year old shorts shopping when you're still slightly tired and it's Mother's Day. This will get you agitated when she starts to get too picky.

Note to Alessandra: do not under any circumstances take pre-adult daughter shopping when you're tired. This is true until she is paying for her own clothes.

Oh, she just wanted to be picky tonight! She knows to keep cost down and is usually really good with that. Even tonight she was worried about it. I just finally got to the point where I told her if she didn't pick a pair, she would go the whole summer without shorts.

Ok, I'm going to try to remember everything we ate for the past few days. Then I'll post a few pictures tonight and some more tomorrow.

    Friday
B: 4 pcs bacon, sauteed veggies
S: small avocado, mixed berries, handful of macadamia nuts
    L: BAS and homemade dressing
D: German sausage, sauteed bell peppers, some gluten-free boulder chips, some strawberries. I think I'm leaving something out.
Drinks: Root beer, one can, but mostly water
Exercise: 10 minute Trainer Cardio and walking. Setting up camp after work

Saturday (the day where I'm sure to leave some foods out)
B: I think I ended up having like 8 pcs of bacon, sauteed bell peppers and onions, strawberries, homemade trail mix, and one small avocado. I thought we would be hiking shortly after breakfast, but that didn't happen till much later.
L: Hamburgers, like 2 that I mixed. Chips, more trail mix, apple, more berries. We did end up hiking after that, but we only went 2 miles. I'm pretty certain I didn't burn off all the carbs I had. Oh, I forgot that I ate a few cherry tomatoes in there too.
S: Like I really needed any of these right? More trail mix and a small Red Delicious Apple. Some sunflower seeds. OH! That's what I forgot for Friday night, pistachios
D: Fillet Mignon! Ohhhhhh, it was just so dang good. Someone brought in a whole bunch of those and cooked them up. Yeap, bacon was the first thing to go! I think I could have probably just eaten the fillet and been fine. For some reason, I felt the need to eat more. I wasn't actually all that hungry either. Some salad. I ate a few pieces of diced cooked potatoes.
S: Again, really? Limon chips that someone brought and a root beer.
Exercise: Hiking a total of almost 3 miles. Not that far for me, but I wasn't the only one hiking.

    Sunday:
B: a small amount of scrambled eggs
L: leftover german sausage, like 2
D: Mom's brisket, some homemade slaw she made, steamed broccoli, and some chimichuri (sp?) sauce. Well, I did blow it with some of her AWESOME gluten free brownies. The two that I originally had would have been fine on their own, but I had like 5 all together. She made some homemade chocolate cinnamon whipped cream (she uses the good cream!). Divinely good stuff!
