I got off ketchup a few months ago. I never thought I could eat eggs without it... until I actually learned to cook eggs properly.
In regards to butter, there are definitely HUGE taste differences between brands.
Although, I've only tried 3 brands of butter (after 21 years of margarine), and the worst has to have been the one from Costco that had WAY too many ingredients for something as simple as butter (AND had colouring added, despite being the palest butter I've ever seen!)
There aren't many problems in life that can't be solved by sleeping it off, or adding more butter.
