    Cooked and ate big chunks of turmeric. Yummy!

    I think this can easily replace carrots! Just cooked them in oil for a good long while and they were easy to eat.
    Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.

    Does turmeric taste like ginger? I wonder if I could do that with my ginger chunks.

    It is a lot like ginger, yes!

    Omg I'm totally doing this next then! I love ginger, and it's hella cheap where I live.

    Actually, I just put the whole finger in and cooked it like a small potato. Medium heat, basking in coconut and fat drippings until it should have been soft. It was cooked and edible all the way through, but not really soft. It ate like a slightly old carrot. Strong spice. Very satisfying.

    Interesting!

    I believe I've read that, in order to get maximum benefit from turmeric's antiangiogenic compounds, it should be eaten with ginger or black pepper.

    I should try it. For carror sub, I like jikama though. Not that I sub carrots, I seem to be able to tolerate them great!
