    Chocolate No Cheat Paleo Doughnuts

These ROCK! Oh yeah. Dedicated to Dr. Bork Bork as she recovers from surgery. Nothing like a good chocolate doughnut to make life a little easier. No sugar. Sweetness w/o the cheatness

Looks great, and I can't believe the ingredients are actually the good stuff!

I don't have a donut pan, but I'm thinking I'll try these in a muffin pan, just not filling them much.

^I was JUST thinking that. I figure it'll still taste as good, just be in a different shape.

My daughter has a mini-donut maker she got as a present -- this was back in the CW days. Basically a two sided "hot plate" with forms for making the batter donut shaped as it cooked.

Maybe we can dust that sucker off and use it again!!

do those doughnut pans make cake donuts that are akin to a fried cake doughnut? I mean like will they bake and be dense on the outside yet chewy bit still kind of firm on the inside? or is it just like a piece of cake in doughnut form?

This is really making me want to buy a doughnut maker. These look pretty legit for having no flour of any kind at all. I've never been a huge fan of doughnuts because they're so sickeningly sweet and greasy, but the chocolate cake donuts were always the exception - dense, rich and not overly sweet. My sweet tooth is starting to poke its very rare head. I may have to invest in a doughnut machine or do something drastic for my next post-workout meal, like a banana bread stuffed with cheesecake or something evil like that.
