One thing at the time, babysteps, that's a good approach. You feel when you're ready for the next step. As I felt I was ready to skip breakfast (my stomach just doesn't like breakfast anymore and I don't get hungry before lunchtime; this was completely new to me too!).
Good luck on your trip! I'd say make the best choices you can and don't stress over it too much. I was thinking yesterday: I guess Grok will have eaten something he didn't know once in a while. If he was hungry and found a plant with legumes, I bet he would have eaten them and not said "hey, those are legumes and I'm not supposed to eat them". And if he didn't feel bad after eating them, he would probably eat them again .
