OH - hives are aweful!!!! I hope you feel better very soon!
Got up yesterday morning with some hives on my left arm. Thought it might have been the fresh pineapple we had with dinner. Hives went away during the morning.
It is now 4:47 am here and my body is FULL of hives again. The itch is driving me CRAZY!!! And another thing driving me crazy is that I cannot pinpoint WHY. No tomatoes, no pineapple yesterday. Maybe the heat? It is quite watm right now. But my body is definitely overreacting to it.
I took a pill and am hoping it goes away soon, can't sleep with this itch!!!
Had an outburst of hives nearly every night or day these days. Went to the doctor because I can't pinpoint what's causing it. He's having my blood tested for food allergies.
Yesterday DH talked to his (American) boss about me, and he immediately said: do you have ticks in your area? Why yes, I've had a tick on my knee on June 20th. He suggested it might be Lymes' disease . The more I read and think about it, the more I think he's right. So on Monday I'm going back to the dr to discuss the outcome of my bloodworks, and if nothing came back positive I'm going to ask him to test me for Lyme disease.
Oh candy!! I hope that's not it & it's just a reaction to something in your diet! Sounds like the allergy blood tests might be in order. There are several places online that do that. They aren't cheap, but would be worth it, given that the hives came on all of sudden.
Of course if your test for Lyme disease comes back positive, then you will have your answer. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome!
Goal: Don't worry be happy!
Ps: just reread your post...duh...you had the blood allergy test done!! When I post from the iPad I can't see the other posts to refer to.
Hope they can figure it out!!

Aaaaaaaaaah, my GP is unavailable for 2 days and I'm anxiously waiting dor the results of my bloodworks!!! Now I have to wait until Wednesday, grrrrr!
Catching Lymes early is CRITICAL for complete treatment. It's only got a small window of being killed. Antibiotic therapy is the treatment, but it only works if caught early! Most tests have a VERY high false negative rate too! Oh, girly, if it's Lyme, I hope they find it and treat it right away. I have a friend over here who has Lyme. She was first diagnosed with fibro b/c her lyme tests kept coming back negative. She finally went to a specialty lab and had a test done that came back positive for Lyme. By then, it was too late and she's nearly bedridden from the pain and almost everything she eats causes flares.
I hope you find the solution quickly!

Wow, I had no idea that Lyme disease had reached Europe. I live in the hotbed of Lyme disease, the northeastern U.S. We have the dubious honor of being the birthplace of the this hideous scourge to human and animal alike. (It is named after Lyme, Connecticut.) As Jenn says, you have to be very aggressive and quick in getting treatment. If you have any idea it might be Lyme, and it seems you do, I would urge you to get tested regardless of your current bloodwork results.
