Thanks JennI was brave enough to send them to my sis with the obligatory "just let me know if you're not interested and I won't send any more about it". I still have hope that she will at least give it a try.
I will be checking out your blog for those lunchbox ideas!!! I think DS is getting tired of lunch meat and cheese as it usually comes home with him.
Here are those links.

Hi girls, just a quick note to say I'm ok, just kind of busy! Cleaning lady isn't coming anymore, I'm making a chore chart for the kids (actually: 3 chore charts that will be rotated every week). Whole 30 is going great, except that I'm having lots of pain in my lower back since more than a week now
. It started after I've been doing looooots of sit ups at CrossFit one day. I'm fine when I stand up and/or walk around, but can't stay seated on a chair or my sitting ball for more than 15 minutes
. I'm seeing my chiro tomorrow, hope she can help me because I'm fed up with it already!
Oh, I've ordered Practical Paleo and it arrived few days ago! I'm at page 45 now and LOVING IT! It's different than ISWF or The Paleo Solution, it doesn't go as deep in to the science of things, but is more practical. Didn't have time yet to look at all the recipes, but the pictures are really nice.

Sorry you're having back pain! Nasty thing - messes with you on so many levels. Hopefully your chiro can sort it out for you. Sit ups are pretty notorious for that if something isn't 100% right, or your form is a little off, or you overdo it. Maybe the chiro will be able to shed some light on that for you.
Tell us more about the book as you go ... what kind of stuff does it have in it? Practical in what way?

I have had numerous chiropractors tell me NOT to ever do situps b/c they put too much strain on the lower back. And it must be true. You'd never believe the number of US Army Soldiers who end up with low back surgery after years of situps in their history. Everyone that I've talked to that's had a back surgery has had bulged discs, which is what my chiropractors have warned me about. I would opt out if I were you, especially if they're causing you pain.
Back pain is indeed caused by the sit ups, as my abs are not strong enough I forced my back doing them. Chiro told me not to do sit ups anymore (or at least until I have stronger abs), crunches should be OK though. I need to go back a few times and hope she can fix it. Sitting for longer time is still a problem, luckily standing up/walking around is ok.
Newsflash: I'm considering a career switch. I'm looking at becoming a kindergarten teacher. It would mean going back to school, but I could combine it with my PT job. As it's too late to start this year I will have to wait another year, then 4 years of school and so I could start my new career in 5 years
. I was considering this the first time about 5 years ago, but I was always ill and in pain then, due to the fibro, so I didn't think I would be able to ever do this. But now I kicked fibro in the butt I feel capable of dealing daily with 30 demanding toddlers

Congratulations with the fibro! I need to send some articles to a resistant friend.. I'm sure you know, but sit-ups mostly engage the psoas, which is strong enough already! Planks are the greatest ab workout around!

More and more, our life has been governed by specialists, who know too little of what lies outside their province to be able to know enough about what takes place within it.
