    I'll be away from home from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon! I'm going to take some smoked salmon and canned tuna and lettuce with me for lunchtimes, as we'll have to eat what's prepared by others. I'm actually making desserts for Friday evening for the whole bunch (around 60 people, adults and kids!!). I'll be making non-primal desserts though :s although I'll try to make some as primal as possible . I'm making chocolate mousse (with 80% choc, full fat cream and honey - so a little primal), ricecakes and brownies.

    Nice day today and the sun has been shining all day! So when I came home from the hairdresser I changed to T-shirt and shorts, had the kids change too and just went to the forrest with them. We ran, played hide-and-seek, jumped on-and-off little walls, ran some more and laughed a lot! We stayed out for an hour.
    Dinner has been (slow)cooking all day in my oven: we're having rabbit with tomatoes, celery, onions and green olives. I'm going to roast some roots now as a side dish (Jerusalem artichoke, sweet potato and beetroot).

    Preparing for the weekend today . I got up at 7am and started baking right away. I've made 2 rice cakes and 2 loads of brownies (non-primal though...first have to work out a good recipe and I don't have time for mistakes right now).
    Now I'm going to make white and brown chocolate mousse.
    Then it's time to prepare our luggage and around 5pm we'll be away for a weekend in Germany .

    Didn't have breakfast today, still not hungry. I had a cup of coffee with some coconut milk.
    Lunch will be bacon and eggs, I promised the kids .
    Dinner is a big surprise, but I'll be prepared, I'm going to take some veggies and lettuce and smoked fish with me, so I'll have good things to eat (big chance there will be pasta tonight).

    Being prepared is half the battle. Good for bringing your own food to supplement whatever is available. Hope you have a great weekend. We'll be waiting to hear how it went (fun- and food-wise).

    I would LOVE to visit Germany! And Sweden, and basically, anywhere else in Europe! Sadly, I've only been out of the US for 3 hours and according to everyone I've spoken with about it, that doesn't count... lol

    Back home since yesterday evening, the weekend was great . We were about 50 people (children of all ages and adults) and had a really good time. We walked a lot, talked a lot and ate a lot . The desserts I made were a big success. The food was very much OK, I had my salad at lunch and at dinner there was meat and all kinds of veggies. I did have some chocolate mousse and 3 pieces of (non-paleo) brownies over the weekend, and I enjoyed every bit of it . I had a handful of (home made) french fries yesterday evening. But now it's back to business as normal .

    Had coffee with some full fat cream for breakfast and I have an apple and some full fat Greek yogurt with me, if I get hungry I'll have that for breakfast.
    Lunch today will be a salad with smoked salmon and avocado.

    Sounds like you did wonderfully with the food. Good job! Glad you had such an enjoyable time. Guess you can check' play' off your list, too!

    Sure thing! There was a playground where we stopped with the kids and I had a great time on it too . Oh, and I bought 'forest honey' from the German Eiffel forests (and got to taste 7 different kinds of honey too sooooo sweet!).
