Any time you are eating after a sleep cycle is 'break-fast'. If you choose to delay that for several hours, it is still breakfast. (If you want some way to say you are still eating breakfast. No need to go into WHEN you eat it!) But really, 6-7 meals a day? That's for sugar-burners. I'm with you- I can no longer do it if I am eating more protein and fats.

I second what Sabine says: 6-7 meals a day is for sugar-burners, to avoid the blood sugar highs and lows. Ignore him. You're operating in a different paradigm. That for me has been one of the great advantages of primal, smoothing out the highs and lows. I hated eating all those mini-meals. So much more fun, and so much easier, to eat a hearty meal and get fully satisfied. I'd rather do that and have bigger gaps inbetween.

I shudder at the thought of eating on any schedule ever again! It's so much easier to eat when I am hungry and skip meals when I am not. My natural schedule seems to be meal 1 early after noon and meal two divided by early evening and a few hours later!
The most important thing for me is getting my food list prepared and staying within the lines!!

Candy your carb numbers look great!! Are you lsoing with your fat grams being that high though?? I had to lower my fat grams and up my protein to kick my weight loss into gear. The higher fat was not working for me at all..I answered your question in my journal about the hairloss but the gist is there are a few threads here about hairloss and LC and I googled and found a million links for it.. The lowcarb though was like anything under 50grams and I was 20 or less for months.. (And never could lose weight ) as soon as I got back to the 75gram range poof no more hair loss!! Like magic!!

I'm doing my best to get my carbs higher, but indeed I'm having a hard time getting my fats lower . I'm not even using that much extra fat (a tbsp of olive oil in my salads and roasted veggies and a little coconut oil for baking). I'm still on no-poo, this morning I washed my hair and there was a lot of hair in the bath tub again . I sure hope this will stop soon, as even my mom noticed my hair is a lot thinner.

This morning I went to CrossFit with DH and the kids; I had to do a WOD called Christine (run 400m, 12 deadlifts with 25 kg, 21 box jumps - repeat 3 times) for time; after our 45 days challenge we'll be doing this again and see if we got better. I did it in 16.5 minutes. I also got my fat measured all over my body, I've taken "before" pictures too and I'm going to measure myself now too. I'm really curious if those numbers will be down in 45 days!

    Today's eats:
B: coffee with coconut milk, 3 brazil nuts
S: HB egg before going to CrossFit
L: 2-egg omelet with bacon, lettuce and tomato with EVOO and vinegar
D: vegetable soup (julienne: carrots, leeks, onions and celery), sirloin steak (150 gr - 5.3 oz), salad made with chicory (witloof) and apple, EVOO and raspberry vinaigrette; 100 gr (3.5 oz) red grapes as dessert

I'm going to watch some TV tonight, it's Angels & Demons (liked the book). Tomorrow I'm doing a "dry-run" of my exam, busy day!

Bananas are great for bringing up carbs and still providing a wonderful hit of nutrition.

Chicory and apple, nice idea. I'll have to try it next time my FIL insists I take a whole bag of the stuff. I like arugula with apple, along with some hot marinated eggplant and walnuts. To die for.

Candy...sometimes I don't like to eat right after I get up...& I'm usually not hungry anyway. But because of my thyroid/adrenal issues I know I have to eat something. So I eat usually around 10 or 10:30 & call it "brunch"!! lol A couple of eggs scrambled, fried or made into an omelet & a couple pieces of bacon & a couple of strawberries & I'm good till about the middle of the afternoon.

takes awhile to work out the kinks, but you'll figure it out. I'm still working on my kinks! lol
    Goal: Don't worry be happy!

Oh, forgot to add that to my foods, I did have a banana after workout yesterday.

Today I've been in the kitchen all day. I made the time-table for my exam on Wednesday and did a "dry run". I've been baking all afternoon! Will post some pictures of all I baked today. I've decided I'm going to have one mini-chocolate bread as dessert tonight. It'll be the first time I eat gluten in months!

    Eats so far today:
    B: coffee with coconut cream
L: roasted chicken (free range), roasted fennel and sweet potato
    S: a small orange
D: will be a salad with smoked fish (mackerel and lox) and small choc-bread with layer of butter as dessert

Hmmm, including my little cheat my numbers don't look bad at all!
    1447 cal
    112g protein
    73g fat
    90g carbs

I think I'll be eating more chicken, turkey and fish, as it seems that red meats (beef and pork) are quite high in fat . Won't be a problem anyway I like fish and poultry!

Off to finish the danish pastries I've baked today and will post some pics afterwards.
