Thanks for sharing your recipes! I am going to try the macaroons soon. We all enjoy them - though I don't know that I will be eating many yet . Too many pounds to lose still! And I am pleased to hear you make your own soap. I have just started to think about doing the same. Shall have to read your blog.

What a day today....I've been really busy! This morning when I got up (and before kids left for school) I've braised 3 kinds of veggies (chicory, leeks and broccoli). Then had coffee with my mom.
Went to CrossFit for a hell of a WOD, then grocery shopping.
Home again, lunch with my 2 boys. When they left for school again (which is just around the corner) they saw there was an extra rabbit in our garden! We have 2 rabbits in a quite large cage and now there was another one, sitting outside the cage. All the bunnies seemed to get along quite well, but I didn't know if it was male or not. Our bunnies are 1 female and 1 castrated male, so didn't dare to put the other one in the cage with ours.
Baked 3 crust-free quiches (eggs, cream, Parmesan cheese and veggies): one with broccoli and sundried tomatoes, one with chicory and lox and one with bacon and leeks.
Packed all my stuff, I'm leaving tonight for a whole weekend of creative fun with 9 other woman.
5 minutes of rest now, then I'm taking Lex to his horseback riding (last lesson for him)
When I'm back home I'll have to put everything in the car and get going, it's almost 2 hour drive (I'm going to the Netherlands).
Won't be back until Sunday evening, so I'll see you all on Monday!

Crustless quiche? Yum. Do you have to grease the pie plates first?
Have a great weekend!

I use a silicone baking mold, so no need to grease it first! Recipe is really simple, just beat to mix 5 eggs, 400 ml double cream, 75 gr Parmesan cheese and vegetables/fish/meat salt & pepper to taste. Bake at 190°C for 35 minutes. Sorry, no time to convert to US measures/temps. Have to run now!

Ah, don't worry. I'm Canadian, which means being bilingual. I speak Imperial and metric... LOL Although it is odd that we generally use metric for distances and temperatures, much less for weights. And even less when it comes to cooking.
I was just planning on making quiche my normal way anyway, and eliminating the crust.
I hope you don't even come back to read this until after your weekend, and that you have a marvellous time!

Mmmm....I've been planning on branching out from quiche lorraine and quiche alsace. Think I'll try your combinations.
Have a good weekend. Any chance this is in the nature of a Butterfahrt and you'll come back with full-fat goodies?
I'm back home after a fantastic weekend.
We were a group of 10 women and had such a good time! It was a creative weekend, we had several workshops planned:
* polymer clay jewels
* honey salve
* making decorations with Whipped Soap
* votive and container candles
* felting
I'll post some pictures of our creations later on. Everybody brought things to eat, I did have some sugary stuff (Scottish fudge! cheesecake-filling, no crust!), but was able to stay clean from grains(indeed, no cakepops or fried rice for me). My crust-less quiches were a success
. We all had a wonderful time, I love our "creative witches"
group. Everybody is so willing to share knowledge.
I headed home yesterday after lunch. I had to pack for my middle son Lex, who is away with school the whole week. I brought him to school this morning and we (moms and dads) stayed until the bus left. They're at the seaside with their class the whole week. I hope everything goes smoothly for him (and his teachers); it's not obvious for him (with Asperger) to be away from home for so long.

I had to google that. No, there was no shopping involved. The only reason why it was in the Netherlands is that the majority of our soap-forum are Dutch, I was the only Belgian in the group this weekend. And there was no time for shopping, we've been busy from early morning till very late in the evening! I definitely didn't do very well on the "get enough sleep" side of primal
. But then again, the "play" part was very well taken care of!

I missed your post last week! So you had no problems with the Mayan Gold? I had to throw away the soap we made with that PO, it started oozing a brown liquid and was just plain nasty. The marseille soap showing in the picture turned out so beautiful! It's still curing, but I'm going to try it out soon
.
We only made Whipped soap yesterday, and practiced making decorations (for soap cupcakes), we learned to make roses (with a piping bag)! Now I have to practice to do this with butter cream, so I can make some beautiful roses on the cake for my final exam.
