That's what I think I'm doing now. I wonder if the structure would help me. I tend to bounce around and not focus on one thing for too long. 23 days on the Whole30 was pretty impressive to me. Hell, 115 days following the same basic idea is unheard of!! (for the record, today is 115).

Plus, if I get the book then I can keep track of uninteresting stuff there instead of clogging my brain-dump journal.

I'll have to wait until I have the spare $ anyway, but now I'm considering trying it for exercise tracking, even if I don't set anything to really keep an eye out for. Haha, my journal is also very much a brain-dump location and I don't find it very good for accountability with trying to keep routines =P

So I went to the Quad Cities' version of a healthy store and got something for the candida infection. The worker recommended it... got it home and looked at the active ingredients... now tell me how feeding my hoo-ha candida albicans is supposed to cure a candida albicans infection... I don't get it. Prolly gonna take it back. I've never heard of curing an infection by adding in more of the offending bug...

By the way, Tomi, a vinegar douche was listed as an appropriate treatment for a YI as it helps restore balance by flushing everything out. Makes sense after reading it the way they wrote it.

Oo oo! Not sure if this has been said already, and I'm really not any sort of reliable source of information on the topic as I've never suffered a yeast infection, but my friend who used to get them A LOT swore by yogurt treatment...aka coating a tampon in yogurt and inserting. I would recommend looking it up before you start going crazy with it because I have no further knowledge on the subject Sounds cooling though!

I've heard the same thing with yogurt and vinegar. I've personally used tea tree oil in the past. I had a short stint of yeast infections. here's a link of some treatments. Maybe it will help you out. Hope you feel better soon!

I took Kim's advice and picked up some of that probiotic she recommended. I took two capsules this morning. It says on the instructions that I can take up to 1 3x per day, so I took two. Figure I could use the extra help right now.

As such, no yogurt this morning so I don't feel like a pile of goo. Yippee!!

No, I will NOT stick yogurt "up there". Food goes in the mouth, not the hoo-ha! lol I'd be afraid of the sugar content causing a bacterial vaginosis or something. No more infections, please... Sinus, bronchial and YI are enough...

    .....

OMG, stressing to the max. One of the guys on our team is leaving after tomorrow to take another assignment across the country. So my bosses decided it would be funny to do a slide show David Letterman Top 10 style. So, they came up with 10 things that he would miss. It was my job to create the slide so that each point popped up individually and that some bullet points appear with a picture or whatnot. Then I had to set the transitions, timing, etc. and it got to be overwhelming, especially since it has been YEARS since I have done a slide show like that and because they kept wanting me to add stuff, which threw the timing off on EVERYTHING. I hope it turns out ok and that the timing works and all that for them. I'd hate for my last big project before my supervisor leaves to be a flop!! Oh, and I had 2 hours to complete it in... so, 2 hours to manipulate a slide the way they want it to be and relearn PowerPoint. Oh, joy!! lol

    .....

So, now I must leave you again b/c I'm swamped today. I have to write a paper for my class tonight and then I have more work to do since I'm off tomorrow. There just aren't enough hours in the day when I have actual work to do... and the days with no work drag on and on and on and on... I hope to check back in again later.

    Peace out!

I'm sure the slide show was great! and even it had a few mis-steps -- that just adds to the comedic flavor! you should post it so we can ALL see!

Oh what a horrid food day! I made the worst possible choices all day long. Mt. Dew, peanuts (GASP!!), Chex Muddy Buddies (like puppy chow), Ruffles chips, chinese food... Ugh. I feel ok right now but I bet I pay for those poor choices tomorrow. Oh, forgot the butterfinger... king size, nonetheless.

Since I have a probiotic now, I'll be starting my whole30 over again starting either Sunday or Monday. Probably most likely Monday. I need to be uber good on Saturday and Sunday both so that I can shed the water weight before I start. I'd hate to start the new Whole30 3 lbs heavier than I ended the last one.

This last week has been terrible overall. I've had no "structure" when it comes to my food. Mostly, things were primal, but sugar came back with a vengeance. I'll be reigning in the sugar consumption and trying to remain 100% primal so that when Monday comes around I can start my second whole 30 at 196 lbs again.

AAAAnyhow, I'm gonna curl up on the couch with my kindle and relax a bit... lots of sun today.

Oh, shoot, I should tell you about that too. DH and I went fishing. It started out horribly... DH got the boat in the water and the motor didn't want to run. We think it was old gas that kept it from working properly. Finally got it fired and headed across the river where we stopped and put our lines in the water. DH got a fish right away. Then the lightning started... tried to fire the motor, it fought us, then finally went. Then DH headed up stream. We figured we'd hang out under the highway bridge and fish from the bank while the rains moved through. There was a MASSIVE sandbar about 12 inches under the water that tried to beach us. Finally got through that and parked under the bridge. Caught another fish there. Rains stopped so we kept moving upstream (we always go upstream when the motor is giving us fits b/c we can always float back down to the boat ramp). Caught a few more fish. Finally the sun came out and the fish stopped biting (little ones were biting so we stayed out but didn't catch anything big after that). About 1 pm the boat started giving us fits again, so DH got frustrated (read: mad as hell) and called it a day. We came home with 10 fresh caught catfish. Got a bit too much sun (slightly pink in areas I apparently missed with sunscreen) and did some LHT by throwing and pulling the 12 lb anchor numerous times. I think I pulled that thing out of the water about 30 times!

DH may have found the problem with the motor, though. The carb was gunked up so he cleaned it up real well (disassembled it and all) and is headed out tomorrow with his BIL to test it out. I wish I was going instead of idiot BIL.

Oh, and when we got home, we went and picked the kids up. DS has the start of hand, foot and mouth disease. Which consists of blisters and ulcers in the mouth and on the hands and feet. So far, it's contained to his mouth, but there's no stopping it b/c it's viral, so we have to wait it out. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad. Supposed to treat the soreness with tylenol and ibuprofen. Poor kid.

Ok, that is all. Now I'm going to read. Have a nice night everyone.
