Well, congratulations on the impressive results, even with all the problems. And I'm glad to hear things are improving a bit, pain-wise.

So, I started recording the Mountain Men show we were talking about recently and I just don't know if I can watch it. It's interesting, it's pretty cool even, but they dubbed in the howling wind sound throughout the entire freaking episode. I know the wind is not howling, I can see snowflakes as they gently fall to the ground, but it sounds like a hurricane-force winds throughout the whole freaking episode. The whole freaking episode.
If I just said LOL, I lied. Do or do not. There is no try.

    lmao

I haven't watched it recently. We've been watching stuff on USA or the basketball tournament thingie instead. That's hilarious that they dubbed that in. Too funny. I probably would have never noticed it.

Hey Jenn --- I'm so glad you are getting better! And I'm also very impressed by the 10 pounds you lost on the whole30 - I'm going to try it again too. Not sure when. I'm going to stay with the friend the first week of July - so I'm thinking when I get back I'll give it another try.

I the meds kick this thing in the butt and you heal quickly!

Glad you are on the mends! Hope you feel better soon. I kinda stalk your thread.

As for the probiotic issue, have you considered getting it in pill form? That way you aren't subjecting yourself to the sugars and the side effects of the dairy? I just looked the chobani pineapple flavor up and it has 18g of sugar, 21g carbs, and only 4 strains of probiotics. You'd need to find a good quality brand though. I use Ultra Jarro-Dophilus, which has 40 billion organisms per capsule and has 10 probiotic strains.

Just thought I'd mention it. Speedy recovery!

Jenn- I just went to hyvee and got some unsweetened kefir to try (it was lowfat i found out after I got home but better than nothing I suppose) it tastes like plain yogurt but is supposedly better than yogurt since it actually replenishes the bacteria in your gut (yogurt only keeps them healthy i guess? I donno I just googled it Kefir - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia theres a like to wikipedia cuz wiki knows all right?) anywho just thought I'd pass that on to you in case you were interested. I found it in the natural section of hyvee (I always feel like a snob shopping that section too btw lol)

I'm looking for a probiotic presently. I was looking at Nature Made since that's the brand of vitamins I tend to buy, but there's had some stuff in it I didn't like. I found one I thought would be ok (listed all the things NOT in it - like wheat, sugar, soy, etc), but I chose not to get it at that point b/c it was rather pricey.

In college we were given an F if we used Wiki as our source for anything in a paper. We could go there and utilize the outside links that were posted, but if Wiki showed up in our reference page, we were done. Instructors wouldn't even read the paper if we used Wiki as our source. They said it's because anyone can edit anything and give a bogus source to cite their info and nothing is validated by Wiki.

I also feel like a snob shopping there, but for what it's worth, I've become a food snob so I might as well shop like one, right?

I took my measurements. Definitely some change there. I'll have to compare when I get home tonight and see what it is. I think my butt may have dropped significantly! I'm also feeling bloated, so maybe I should have done this tomorrow, but I wanted to get a reading before I got too much dairy in my system. In fact, I think the dairy may be why I feel so bloated.

Got to stop at the grocery store tonight to pick up a couple of things so I'll look at their probiotic supplements and see what I can find. Hopefully I can find one that looks good but doesn't break the bank so I can ditch the yogurt, although very tasty it is.

Haha I wouldn't expect all the info to be correct and I'd never cite wiki for a research paper. I found a different website that had the same info I just didn't feel like finding it again cuz I'm just lazy I guess.

I did a quick calculation with the ol' Army Body Fat calculator... the last time I measured (according to it) I weighed 210 (4 lbs before starting Whole30 - I have those measurements at home so maybe I'll have to enter them in and see what the difference was for those 23 days, but anyway...) and since then, I have dropped 2.46% body fat. 14 lbs on my body (since I saved my bodyfat last) equals 2.46% body fat. Sweet!

But like I said, I'll compare the difference between Jun 1 and Jun 25 and share later.
