Yeah, I'm over it... and if this is my sexual prime, I want my money back b/c it sucks. I desire sex maybe 3x a month - right around ovulation - when biology tells me to have sex. Otherwise I just want to be left alone. My hormones suck.

Whole30 Day 22. Still doing well. Ready to be done.

17 days til my marathon... 17. Days.

Oh...You are really going to love PHD. If you eat healthy carbs at the recommended levels, you should notice a difference pretty quickly. Use protection unless you are sure about #3

So, reconfiguring my percentages on MFP and they're not changing much to meet PHD guidelines (if I interpreted this right).

    Calorie Goal: 2,000
Carbs: 150 gm per day (30%)
Protein: 100 gm per day (20%)
Fat: 111 gm per day (50%)

The book says to keep carbs at about 30% with 1 lb being starches, protein at 15-20% (I'm not comfortable with 15% given my athletic endeavors), and fat at 50-60%.

Measuring the starches will be interesting. I will start with potatoes tonight. The thing that worries me is ensuring I cook enough potatoes to equal 1 lb just for me alone (1/2 lb for dinner tonight and 1/2 lb for lunch tomorrow). Potatoes will mostly be a lunch and dinner thing - unless it's a weekend, then I'll weigh out some hashbrowns for breakfast. Maybe next week I'll add potatoes to breakfast. We'll see.

I see that for a while this is going to take some meticulous measuring and logging of intakes - not my half assed food log now that is done solely to satisfy Pact and most days is far from accurate.

I really wish I could get the PHD website pulled up on my work computer. It's blocked for some shitting reason - probably b/c the title includes the word "diet". To circumvent this, I use my phone, which makes for a very small screen.

Paula says it'll fix my hormones so I get vivacious again... I hope she's right. And I'm pretty sure my husband hopes so as well. The poor guy...

Anyway, I'm going to dig through Paula's food journal and see what she's got going on and get an idea of what I should be shooting for.

Just be aware that my main focus was that pound of starch. My other veggies have been seriously lacking. Next month I will endeavor to get veggies at both meals.

So far, I've weighed out 9.5 oz of protein and 8 oz of starch.

4 oz boiled eggs (in shell still, but I figured that has a minimal weight impact)
    1.5 oz bacon
    4 oz chicken

8 oz sweet potatoes sauteed in coconut oil

That leaves me with 6.5 oz of protein and 8 oz of starch left to consume tonight. Problem is that I won't be home tonight (ThirtyOne Gifts sales meeting from 6 til 8) so I'll probably end up baking a few chicken tenderloins and I guess some cajun sweet potato wedges or something... I REALLY need to find a new way to prepare sweet potatoes... oh wait, maybe sweet potato hashbrowns?

Once I'm past this Whole30, I think I'll find I really like PHD.

Hormones are still doing something funny... it's making for some very uncomfortable days...

Brady seems to be doing well on his medication. He's come home with favorable behavior marks on his calendar two days in a row.

If I ditch the larabars, I'll be good, but... those larabars are what will be used to keep me satisfied until I'm finally able to eat dinner at 9:00...
