While there are many places to 4-wheel around here, when you're driving that jacked up joke of a truck on city
streets and it is as CLEAN AS A WHISTLE and not a drop of mud ON IT, you're a f*cking poser and you suck.
Especially when you have those dual exhaust pipes that come up OVER the cab of the truck, like a big rig, and
a freaking TRAIN HORN for your horn.
Seriously people? Seriously.
That would be super cool in ANY of the places that you guys live, but San Jose, California?

I remember shortly before or after Brad and I got married, Surprise Parties were a huge thing. A friend of mine got involved and to help her launch her business and get her the bonus for having so many parties in one month, I agreed to host. Sold a lot, got a lot of discounted stuff, and then never heard from it again. You can go to "video stores" and find a bunch of stuff similar to what they sold, and cheaper, but I wonder if any of those parties still exist.
A quick google search on my phone (b/c I don't DARE do it on my work computer) shows the company is still in business... but no indication if they still do parties.
I went to a Premiere jewelry party recently. It was all about getting you to book another party. The raffle prize was a bottle of hand lotion. really? You couldn't spring for a small jewelry item?
I spent way too much and suffered from buyers remorse later. Nice jewelry, but I probably could have found similar elsewhere and cheaper. I ended up canceling my party and the agent lied to me to try and get me to re book.
What did she lie to you about? Yes, I have found similar jewerly at JC Penney for about $20, and if you buy on Black Friday you can get KILLER deals on it (I got a $40 necklace for $15). She probably lost out on a $150 commision check by you cancelling.
I have discovered a new food passion - sweet potato mashed with coconut oil and cinnamon. I don't know who suggested this to me, but you are amazing. That is all.

I ran 3.1 miles today in 33:34. That is my fastest 5k since 2007. In 2007 I ran one in 31:14. So, not quite as fast as I have run one in the past, but still pretty dang good considering it is now almost 6 years later. I fully intend to bust that personal best. In the meantime, I do believe that the strength training and improved diet are making all the difference. I felt so strong today! I was running "out of my comfort zone", but yet felt comfortable. It was a weird feeling to be both comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time. But it was a very strong run. Toying with the idea of increasing to 3.5 miles next week. I'm not sure I've completely conquered the 5k yet, but I feel compelled to increase my mileage anyway. Maybe I'll wait another week and do 5k again next week.
Also, it came to me while I was running that I need to change the order in which I strength train. Right now, Monday is overhead press day, Tuesday is deadlift day, Wednesday is run day, Thursday is bench day and Friday is squat day. I think I need to invert Monday and Tuesday. Doing deadlifts on Monday would give them Tuesday to recover before running on Wednesday. Seems silly to deadlift on Tuesday and then turn around and run on Wednesday. So, I'll be changing that up on Monday... oh wait... Monday's a holiday... well, shit the bed Fred... That's gonna jack up my whole freaking week... Well, maybe I'll run on Monday and then it won't screw up anything. Yep, that's what I'll do. I'll make it a point to get out for 3 miles on Monday. I don't think we're doing anything that will prevent me from doing it, so yeah... that's what I'll do. The FOLLOWING week, though, I'll change the order in which I lift to DL, OHP, B, and S.
And I've decided to do a 21 day sugar detox immediately following my Whole30. I have found that recently I have been filling sugar cravings with fruit, and while that's a win in a sense, it's also a loss in that I'm not facing the sugar problem head on and tackling it. So, I'll be doing that as soon as I'm done with the Whole30. By ditching the fruit and sweet potatoes, all I'll have left is green veggies, so I'll probably drop into ketosis again, which is fine. Hopefully this two month stretch of strictness will result in some poundage coming off the scale. If nothing else, it should make the body slim down a bit.
And I've reduce the vitex. I've reached the halfway point in my cycle, so I've dropped from 3 to 2 capsules daily. The 3 capsule definitely helped the ol' libido, and 2 capules allows for the Russian Circus to come to town... hopefully the pain on day 2 and 3 will not return. If the pain returns, next month I'll go from 3 down to 1 capsule at the midpoint. If they STILL return, I'll go from 3 to 0. Experiments.
