Thank you ladies... Judy, don't I know it... but I've already indulged today...![]()
Thanks for the link again, Judg. I'll listen to it today.![]()

It's Thursday, which means it's bills day. I did our bills. And I am not anxious about it today... b/c things worked out. We're not short for the week! We're gonna rock it out!![]()
And looking into the future, it seems we're coming out of our deep dark hole. How quickly we can get into trouble and how LOOONNNGG it takes to recover! OY!
Brad and I were anticipating his sleep studies to cost us roughly $600. I just spoke to the hospital and our bill for his first is only $197... I say "only" b/c it's not $300 like we anticipated. So we'll have a little extra money coming up that we can allocate to something else - a race car loan perhaps. We'll officially have the 2012 season paid off next week. *sigh* I'm so ready to be out of debt... but then I'm sure we'll have no idea what to do with our money and will go stir crazy with it... maybe I'll sock it away and not tell Brad we're debt free... I would love to have 6 months worth of paychecks set aside for a rainy day. Dreaming of course b/c our ability to save like that is easily 3 years away.
I do know that one of the first things we'll do is build our deck off the back of the house. We have patio doors in our dining room that open up to a 6 foot drop... And I know Brad's itching to finish the basement - to at least insulate and dry wall it. And I'd like to renovate the kitchen... more like rearrange as I plan to use our existing counter tops and cabinets, but move things around.
Dreams... they sure are fun, if not depressing when it comes to making them financially possible. Maybe I'll get a shot at a better paying job and can make it all happen sooner rather than later.![]()

Confirmed cases of influenza A at my kids' school district. They're in the junior high/high school, so my kids aren't "directly" affected, except maybe Brady who has high school students in the after-school program... they're getting flu shots tomorrow. With Makenna having pediatric asthma, I don't want her getting the respiratory flu. That's a disaster waiting to happen. They were supposed to go today but Brad is working late... I wanted to ask his mom to take them, but he says they can wait til tomorrow. :| gggggrrrrr I disagree, but if they've been exposed, getting a shot even today will be too late... let's just hope we're not too late.
Btw, watching Sugar: The Bitter Truth right now.![]()
Thats an excellent lecture. I've passed it on to MANY of my family and friends. Posted it on fb several times too.Maybe I'll watch it again since I'm housebound today.
Hope your kiddo's don't get sick.

Don't give up what you want MOST, for what you want NOW
ugh, I hope they don't either. Thanks Tomi.
I think I found a good use for my $25 gift Amazon gift card... the new cookbook Mark put out! I have GOT to find a replacement for things like BBQ sauce, ketchup and ranch dressing.Going to mull over it for a few days as I'd also like to get a couple of kindle books. We (as in me and my personalities) will wait... but I think I do want it.

Oh and I'm making the hot guy in my office listen to this as well... hehehehe
My review of Sugar: The Bitter Truth...
Um, OMG.
Changes to our household are definitely necessary... Brad is going to have to watch that... and my MIL and my SIL, etc, etc, etc. Definitely need to make some changes...
I am definitely going to have to rewatch that.
Once you're out of debt, definitely set up a savings program. You've heard of the "Pay yourself first" principle, right? An emergency fund is first priority once you're out of debt.

I started watch 'Bitter Truth' but had to leave to do something at the 30 minute mark. I need to get back to it.
60 Christmas cards... what's what I wrote this year. SIXTY Christmas cards... OY! I only have 6 that are not addressed that I brought to work to share with people I truly enjoy. But I did write 4 for the people in my office. I think they're worthy of a Christmas card.
