Well I don't know if it has glycerines in it - but I've been using Rembrandt and my teeth are noticably whiter. I don't drink a lot of stuff that would discolor my teeth, but they were getting a bit "dullish" looking. After about a month I could tell the difference. Its my ONE real splurg for simply vanity purposes --- its costs about $8 a tube - and its a very small tube. I think it lasts me about 2 months, using it twice daily. Tastes good too.

Its worth mentioning that one of my front teeth is a vaneer (sp?). I had a "crossed" tooth that I always hated - so I got it fixed. So, that nice porcelein tooth was whiter than all the rest - didn't look so good. Hence the Rembrandt.

So sorry about the work tragedies.

I spent $16 on powerball yesterday. Sigh.

I hate my stained teeth too, but not enough to quit coffee.
I have never yet found anything that can motivate me to quit coffee. Cut back, yes. Quit, no.

I have used those Crest Whitestrips with success. But the thing is, they are a PITA. So I find myself using them for a week, and seeing results, but then maybe not using them again for a year.

If that's all the longer I use them, then I have enough for an entire lifetime. Seriously, we have like 24 kits or so at home b/c every year P&G gives us 4 or 5 kits in our holiday box (which should be coming soon! So excited!!).

I found, on Amazon, what I think will be an amazing Omega3 supplement for Brady (or us, actually b/c they have an adult formula too). It's called SmartyPants. They get their fish oil from sardines and anchovies to prevent the mercury contamination that comes from salmon and tuna. I'm buying two in the next week and Nameless will be getting credit for it. Hoping I can single handedly bump her up to the $250 in sales so she can get her 4% check!! Haha, that's only $10, but I bet it would help her buy a supplement or something fun.

Today's Friday and I'm happy about it. We don't have any real plans this weekend - except to hang lights on the gutters since it's going to be in the 60's.

Correction regarding the gentleman that died at Brad's plant... the guy was very overweight, smoked, drank a lot (he had recently stopped drinking or significantly cut down according to what Brad was seeing on his facebook page - but he may have just stopped posting about it. Brad said every other post used to be about getting drunk), had diabetes, high blood pressure and myriad other issues that contributed to his death. Brad said they should have seen it coming - or at the very least this gentleman should have gone to the doctor - b/c for the previous 4 days, he'd call his supervisor and say that he wasn't coming to the shift-change meeting b/c he wasn't able to get up the stairs to the meeting room. I guess he'd get way to short of breath to make it up the stairs. That should have been a red flag for someone to recommend he see the plant nurse for an evaluation, but given he works 3rd shift and the nurse works 1st...

Regarding the guy with the burns. SIL went to visit him at the hospital. She said they are greatly downplaying and sugar coating his condition. She says he's in rough shape. They reinacted the scenario and believe they have discovered the reason for the pipe coming apart and injuring the guy. They are taking measures to fix it and anyone caught NOT using these measures will be fired on the spot. This accident is going to cost the company thousands upon thousands, if not close to a million dollars after paying medical bills and pain and suffering to the employee. According to SIL, this guy was an accident waiting to happen anyway. The day she got hired on, people on the line told her to always double check his work and scrutinize anything he worked on before her b/c he was always taking short-cuts and was going to get someone hurt. If that's truly how he worked, I'm glad it was him that got hurt and not my SIL or anyone else. She had been moved from his department to another department and didn't work with him anymore, but the threat of getting hurt was always still there when she did work with him.

Anyhow... I guess he has to go through the scraping treatments like any other burn patient and it sounds like he was readmitted to the hospital b/c he ballooned up - swelled up so badly that they drained 60 lbs of water off his body yesterday. His blood pressure is all over the place and his heart enzymes are jacked up. His poor body doesn't know up from down right now b/c of the trauma it experienced, but he's expected to survive just fine. I mean, they HAD released him at one point... And the hospital he's at is a top-notch hospital with an excellent burn center. In any event, I hope he recovers quickly.

I'm just glad that none of the injured/dead parties were my SIL or husband.

I haven't even been checking the Amazon stuff. I make so few online purchases these days, but I'll make sure to remember your links when I do (someday). Thanks! I have $2.49 right now haha.

Burns are really horrifying. I hope he recovers okay.

I hate it when I forget to take meat out for dinner! and nuking it always ruins it! Those are the nights I convince hubby its a good night to go to the steak house! Luckily for the budget - those nights are few and far between
